Happy for Brett Morris, he has turned the season around and should hold him in good stead for next season

It's a shame Savala is leaving. He looks the goods.

            • Savala’s last moment field goal was electric and secured his side a significant win for their season.
            What does that mean?
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Mark Nawaqintawase was very good in taking his opportunities in both attack and defence ( can hit ) didn't rove much in attack but I would think that were his instructions ( KISS) . He was very strong - I don't think he was tackled first contact once bar his opening hit up off a 20m tap. Good in the air good with ball in hand. Quite excited by that performance .

Hugo Savala (spelling not sure) kicked one from the side line to lock it all up at 22 with 5 to go and then kicked a field goal with 30 seconds to go to snatch the win. Only time we were in front all game.

Rob Toia pretty quiet - not bad but quiet.
Thanks for that. Also saw that he had 3 tackle misses with only 3 tackles and 4 errors. Anything to be worried about?

First game in the code for a long time. I read where Buzz Rothfield said he looked for work and was a handful but missed his assignment defensively a few times, however he has no doubt he will make an excellent league player

'In what was his first game of senior rugby league, Naqaqanitawase looked quite comfortable and showed a willingness to get involved.

He had his second line break later in the first half when streaking down the right sideline and passing it back inside as he was being tackled into touch, which led to another Roosters try.

Ritchie’s colleague Phil Rothfield liked what he saw from Nawaqanitawase, believing he has the tools to make it in the NRL despite his inexperience in rugby league.

“This guy is going to make it, there’s no question whatsoever,” Rothfield said on the Big Sports Breakfast radio show.

“He was very willing but very brilliant as well. He’s got a lot of speed, a lot of skill and he’s one of those high workrate wingers who go looking for the ball.”

Toia still made 130mtr and 8 tackle breaks on the weekend
Marky n made 14 carriers, 160mtr and with 60pcm, 7 tackle breaks and 2 line breaks so a solid start to his rugby league days

If Toia stays healthy we may have the long term replacement for Manu.

Sounds like Tait has a decent future also.
