As the business end of the season approaches we need to be on defensively from now on. After the previous game Robbo commented that he could “fix it in a week”.

A good defensive game against a bottom side like Parra is hardly a decent test but good practice for what’s ahead. If we can keep them to two tries max and not give away any soft ones, that would be a good base to build on.

We know we can put 40 on the board but potential premiers can’t be leaking 4 or 5 tries per game. We should be nice and fresh and up for it tonight. I want to see our forwards dominate their weak pack.

The Eels should of beaten the Panthers last week and their ability to shift the ball could be problematic for our defense which has been fragile of late, yes we should win but if we defend like we have recently the Eels can cause some headaches.

That's because it is not a technique issue, it's one of application and execution. In short, get the mind-set right, and the defense will be on song. We've seen periods of it throughout the season, like against Manly in the 2nd half when we were basically defending our line for about 15 min non-stop. Robbo obviously believes he can get their heads in the right place. We shall see tonight whether that's been achieved.
