  • Kane Evans injured in NYC tonight?

anyone at the game tonight, looking at the NYC stats tonight he only had 3 hitups for 22 metres and did nothing after the 15th minute, have to assume he got injured hope its not too serious.

Not sure, but those stats are f*cked anyway.
Half the time they get the players name wrong and give out random stats to anyone.
Wouldn't make much of it from just that site, but we'll see

Did Napa get injured too? Or did he not even play? I rocked up 18 mins into the game. The boys were extremely brave tonight, i'm pretty sure Vunipola played 62 mins straight at prop. They had to withstand so many sets on their line at the start of the second half and didn't seem to have any bench players to replace with poor bastards with. Clarrie Moore got injured and Siejka looked dusty too. They only had one dummy half barge over and a lucky try to one of the Dogs giant props under the posts after he juggled it and we just needed to touch it before he regathered. Didn't help that the ref made some very poor calls in the final 10 minutes either.

Dylan was out with a shoulder injury but with the bye he should be good for the Broncos game.

Paul Rokolati, our flying Fijian winger continues to impress with each game. He's fast & has good footwork, also safe under the high ball considering his stature. He scored two rippers last night.

Dean Blackman provides top service out of dummy-half, very quick, clever, good short kicking game but IMO he's not our solution at #6. If the cap allows they should consider getting a genuine five-eight/half or consider elevating Alex Thomas from SG Ball.

Evans Out For 2 wks or So...

About 15 mins or so into the game Evans was hurt & kept playing. In 22nd min he asked to come off as you could see the kid was in alot pain . He tackled Doggie
prop Klemmer in an awkard way where he was kneed in the thigh, causing Evans to have a burst blood vessel & doing his ankel at the same time. They say 2 weeks out at least.

Over-rated, once he starts dominating on a consistant basis and racking up 250+m close to every game like Taumalolo then he can be talked up the way he is atm.

You mean the Jason Taumalolo that played more than half a game and made 50 metres on the weekend?

UNtil Rokolati learns the other side of League DEFENCE he will never make 1st grade, his reads are worse than Carney's

If you had been watching Evans on a regular basis you would know that he does dominate on a consistant basis. In fact I have never seen him have a bad game. Couple of things he needs to work on though, fitness and filling out his oversized frame.

He seemed to get a cork early in the game last night and couldn't shake it. Went off around the 20 minute mark. Napa was sitting in the stands watching on as well. Another player I have been very impressed with over that last few weeks is Rhys Martin. A chunky backrower with very good ball skills, pace and strong in defence.

agree with all. martin reminds me a lot of mitch aubusson with his frame, defence, hole-running and skills

Thats alright, he made some crucial tackles which was pleasing to see seeing as though that is his weak point. But correct me if im wrong he did tear your team up by scoring 2 tries and setting up another. Pretty good for a 18year old. How old is Evans again and has he torn up first grade sides yet?

Taumalolo does not feature in the top 20 players for metres. Just dividing number 20 by Taumalolo's games played he would be averaging 170m per game. Taumalolo does not average 250+m per game.
