      Full Time NRLW Trial

Roosters 20 drew with Sharks 20 - Half Time - Sharks 12 vs Roosters 0

A costly one for the Roosters with Corban Baxter suffering a serious Knee/Leg Injury / Brydie Parker a serious Shoulder/Arm Injury and Jess Sergis a leg injury.

Have to wait and see the extent of the injuries once the scans and what not are completed. - Corban's looked the most serious one as she had to be carried off - Brydie came off with her arm wrapped in the jersey -

The Roosters may have to sign replacement players if Corban and Brydie are ruled out for the season. - Not sure who is available

It was a non contact knee injury for Corban Baxter has to be very real fears she has done an ACL.

Have to wait and see but both could be season ending injuries by the looks of it - hopefully not - not sure who they could replace them with to make up the 24 player roster if both Corban and Brydie are ruled out for the season.

Be a repeat of last season when they lost 2 players to season ending injuries in another competition and then one in the first NRLW game and continued to lose players from then on - even the trainer(strength and conditioning) had to play a number of games due to shortage of player numbers.

The SMH is reporting the club are expecting scans today to confirm that Baxter has torn her ACL and obviously miss the 2024 season.

Confirmed ruptured ACL and torn meniscus for Baxter, Parker fractured her forearm and is out for 6-8 weeks, Shawden Burton is also going to miss the entire NRLW season with a torn hamstring.

                      We need an unlike button!

Terrible news. Is Shannon Rose ready to go. She's a fullback.

Good on you and congrats. Great that the club has these type of development and pathway plans in place for the womens' game already.

Not sure - not named for the trial and she had a few injuries last year that kept her out for the season as well.

                          Jayme Fressard the likely Fullback

Not sure who they will sign to replace Corban and Shawden to make up the 24 player squad as replacements can be signed - Brydie out 6 to 8 weeks - rounds 5 to 7 return period

Put's a dent in their chances with these 3 missing -2 for the season and 1 for 5 or 6 weeks

baxter's a big out, terrible luck for burton missing 2 seasons in a row, relatively good news about parker.

i'd go sergis at 1 - as good as she is at centre i think she'd benefit from having more space with ball in hand and the other options aren't especially exciting.

                              sergis
                              wood

Hard to say as I don't remember Jess Sergis playing fullback?

I think Jayme Fressard would be next up - maybe Shannon Rose although not sure of her fitness as she didn't play the trial and missed all of the NRLW season last year with the hamstring and then hand fracture which required multiple reconstructive surgeries .

On another site they are saying the Roosters can't replace Corban or Shawden as the trial is considered part of the NRLW season - They could replace them if injured in pre-season training or in another competition prior to the NRLW season?

They have to use Harvey Norman NSW Women's premiership players as replacements

The ready made replacement player is Tyra Ekepati who is on a development contract but can't play as she is under 18 - players have to be 18 at least to play NRLW. They can play Harvey Norman NSW Women's premiership games though.
