You can put Teddy or Walsh in reserve grade, and they probably wouldn’t shine, good players, need other good players around them.

it was a bludger of a game in nswcup today, wet/poor conditions, and neither team could hold the ball. Was some very good hits in defence, and Tait looked good running the ball.

That's harsh man. I think he's down on confidence and possibly feels a little lost. Watch our sudden death game against the Storm last year. Sandon steps up when Walker goes missing. The kid can play but needs a little love and reassurance.

Lachy Illias and Dean Hawkins are NSW standouts, how have they gone so far?

he's had limited opportunities in firsts and looked pretty good and had one outstanding game. hard to judge his potential at this stage but those who see him train every week rate him. we'll find out next year how good he is. chad townshend seems to me the perfect kind of player to encourage smith to succeed if he's got what it takes. townshend is good enough to play firsts if smith falters but not such a match winner that he's an automatic selection

I did watch Sandon closely today and to be fair he did have a shocker.

But as many have said he seems a different proposition when playing firsts, and I’m sure the Club know what they’re doing with him..

            Have faith people.

His biggest problem is lack of game time.

He's definitely being groomed for a long term halves position. Having Townsend around next year should help his game.

I remember when Sam Walker played NSW cup last year, he was pretty average as well.. but yeah, hopefully for Sandon it’s just nothing and he kills it again in first grade soon.
