For now I’m saying we are a top 4 side and a possible premiership threat if we can handle the storm and riff. It’s still early and our best is yet to come. So all I can think is the storm and especially riff who thrash us so easily should expect a real context this time round.
What was disappointing, is that we lost to them both at home, and panthers were missing JFH&cleary.

storm will probably be under strength with Munster,NAS, Coates and possibly Grant out, so we have to take advantage of that, we are a shot at top 2 if we beat the storm.

    • Special call out to Jennings . Still has those touches of class that made him the best centre in the game a few years ago. Doing his job this year as very solid backup to Joey and JAS.

congrats and let’s hope for a dry and fast track next time
Rads and Jenko will get a week off over the bye so won’t miss any games and we will have Suaali back v storm so as long as origin boys get through will be all bar Manu really
rads is looking great on the edge looks like he will stay there now

only concern is Nat butch I don’t know what has happened to him but he went from Smokey for origin and kangaroos being an honest defender to shit really quickly - he might need a week or two in res grade (and Whyte needs to come back on the bench for king or butcher)

        3. jwh (the big dog says enough)
        2. Teddy (1 try and 2 try assists, over 300mtr and 13 tackle breaks)
        1. Critchon who made 180mtr again and Watson who killed it (Watson really reducing cheese minutes by playing so well)
Special mention rads until he went off and Leniu off the back fence
Good summation but you forgot the brilliant Lindsay Collins in a team full of legends !

        • I don’t want to upset anyone and I confess to not having as much knowledge of coaching as some of his critics, but to my uneducated eye this Trent Robinson fellow seems to be quite a good coach.

          • We haven’t beat a team in the top 4 yet so we have lots of hard work ahead of us.

I agree; Nat has looked quite ordinary for much of the year and I don’t believe he belongs in our top 17 anymore. He still makes plenty of “non-dominant” tackles, but he regularly makes poor defensive reads close to our line and usually gives away a penalty or two, plus continues to be underwhelming in attack. He was much better in previous years. BUT……Robbo will keep picking him based on loyalty alone.

                • Just an observation from being at the ground today. Sitili has a terrible tackling technique, plants he feet way to early so If a player side-steps, moves late he is totally in the wrong position + very susceptible to a HIA as his head is in the wrong position .

I don’t think so, probably just another fine and more carryover points to rub him out of the finals.

                    • Klein the Faaarkin Klow likely get docked today due to an unfavorable result. He was always going to find fault on dog day afternoon. The structured engineering pattern all so obvious - especially match reports. If they don’t get a desired result they have a second dip by suspending players for semi time. I love Easts and absolutely hate the games admin.

                      • Absolutely prime Teddy out there today, they were crazy kicking to him - he looked like he was going to break the line on nearly every return, great great performance. Our defence has improved a lot, far more physical and just straight out dominating...could be something special brewing here, come on Eassssssts.

Not true, we have beat ourselves a few times this year.

                            • Nat Butcher 15 games - 583 tackles - 29 missed - around 96% tackle efficiency.
