mate im bloody ecstatic with that win. couldn't stop laughing the last 15 mins especially at the Spencer stuff. our attack is looking filthy even with our top 3 centres out injured.

All I think is that if players dont perform as well or others out perform them then they shouldn't be selected.

We're up against a big forward pack in storm who we havent won against in a while and nat isnt exactly playing like he used to. Others have been sent back to reserve grade for less

Tremendous win, and wonderful to see Jared and the boys that happy. I'll just unpack my thoughts here, as well.

Firstly, thought Collins and Teddy were among our best. Absolute quality from them every minute. Some of the addtional work Lindsay does is unbelievable.

Dragons milking and lying down continually for the entire game. Can't really blame them as they're simply not good enough to compete with us, and opposition teams obviously know that refs are a bit tougher on us than on other teams.

It would have been an absolute travesty if Klein and the bunker had manufactured a Dragons win. The 6-agains in the first half, with us receiving nada, was hugely damaging and the Dragons were massively outclassed. The score could have been a lot worse for the Dragons. That bunker call where Suli (or whoever it was) wasn't ruled as an obstructor to Sitili, was diabolical. I couldn't believe that. He jumped a full second early and ended up directly underneath Sitili. Not to mention the set before where Sam grabs a Dragons player around the shoulder and gets penalised on the 5th for it. Some of those were astonishingly bad, and looked cynical to keep the Dragons in it.

The Chooks are absolutely the real deal this year, and I don't care what anyone else says about it. I'm pretty sure this game puts us at 100+ F/A better than the next nearest team, which is the Storm. I'm not sure how the game in Melbourne will go after the Bye, but unless we have a freak off-day, I'm really starting to think it's between us and the Panthers (pending injuries). I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw some posters saying we looked flat today... what on Earth game are you watching? If anything, they tried too hard at time. That was a masterclass in physicality.

I'll say it now; if we play the Storm in the finals, we'll win convincingly.

Also, this Leniu guy... actual psychopathy incarnate.

Great summary....also the roosters were often 11 and 12 metres back and for us a skinny 8 -10. The scary part is how Klein controls the flow of possession gifting the Dragons as above and starving us. The 2 6 agains he gave us after about 20 minutes in the second half changed the momentum and we showed our class. Unfortunately Klein could have kept the handouts going to the dragons and deny us a deserved win.

Legend jwh gets a win, and a gutsy effort by all the players while he was off the field, we had no possession for a while there, and it took its toll, but everyone put in and came home like champions.

Yep, you're spot on - we've got to be able to beat Penrith and the Storm (although I'm confident we'll beat the Storm come finals).
That being said, people bring up our record againt them over the past couple of years. The past couple of years where they've been better than they are now, and we've been struggling to make the finals. Is it any surprise they've had our number the past few years?

Personally, I don't see our past results aginst them having any impact when we play them again. We haven't played them since Round 7 (the Storm) and Round 4 (Panthers). We lost both narrowly and have improved massively since then.

My only concern is that stylistically, I think the Panthers match up into us well. I do think at our peak, it's only us and them though. We'll see, and it's going to be an exciting end to the year.

Great win by the boys, honouring the great JWH.

Everyone contributed but thought Keary controlled the tempo of the game and kicked them to death in their right corner. The general out there, topped off with Sammy's lovely try assist short kicking game. Teddy great again and Connor just doesn't stop. We really worked their middles over with our quality pack and wore them down.

We are the best attacking unit in the comp. Exciting times to be a Rooster.

A bout of penalties and 6 agains against the Storm or panthers would see those teams put us away easily. For now I’m saying we are a top 4 side and a possible premiership threat if we can handle the storm and riff. It’s still early and our best is yet to come. So all I can think is the storm and especially riff who thrash us so easily should expect a real context this time round.
