  • Could Connor be our new Aubo ?

Could Connor be our new Aubo and fill in at left Centre? Sando to the bench until Joe returns. Or do we lose to much strike up the middle with Connor out there?

I guess Connor has already surpassed poor Aubo’s rep footy career

I think Connor should be kept at hooker. We play really well with his dummy half play.

i trust Robbo and the coaching staff to know if a younger player is ready or not.

Was thinking about this. We have no more immediate replacements at centre. Jenko hamstrung, pauga took Tracey’s head off, Suaalii still got two weeks and Billy Smith is doing Billy Smith things. I’d probably guess Ethan King is next cab off the ranks, because with Watson you might not be strengthening the position, while losing strength at the 9 and 13

        Nah, he's Waddaaaaw.

IMO there's only one Aubaaaaw (and it isn't Hutchaaaaw).

The Mercurial one, the Hutchinator, was better than Aubs in a utility role.

          By positions who was better

          Halves( 6 and 7) - The Hutchinator
          Centre - Even
          Dummy Half - Even
Backrow - Aubusson - although I don't recall the Hutchinator playing much backrow - a few minutes here or there.

Wastson has good utility value but with Radley in the second row I think Watson is our best available lock. Not sure Robbo starts him as makes sense to have one of him and Cheese on the field at all times so from a rotation perspective I could see Watson coming off the bench.

Next week feels like the first time we will have to confront the possibility of picking Connor Watson & Sandon Smith on the bench.. not sure how our fan base will deal with it if so.

Might be a bit early but I wonder if Robinson doesn’t give Jake Elliott a few games in the centres either this year or next, looks a good size for a 5/8. Not a bad way to start blooding the kid into First Grade.

Absolute bollocks. Get your hand off it.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

The pitch invader Saturday night had more utility value than Hutchinator

Aubo I think played every position except front row and I think Connor could do the same. Not sure what’s best for the team though. Leave that one to coach. I wouldn’t be surprised though to see him at centre if he is fit and able during Joe’s and Junior’s holiday period

I’d play Wong in the centres for the next few weeks.

Hutch better than Aubo. Now I’ve heard it all.

Connor will never surpass Aubo. When we are at full-strength does Watson even make our team?
If he is the new Craig Wing then Yes he should be able to play centre. Let's just wait and see how he does on Wednesday.

Absolutely he does! He is fast, tough, has great ball playing ability, a rugged defender and is super fit. He covers hooker, halves and back row with distinction- not just a "fill in"

I remember he played some outstanding games at fullback when he came into first grade 8 years ago and scored 9 tries in 38 games- i dont know if he is suited as a back now though- he is heavier now

What i love about him is he does everything at fast pace and is full on with effort
