Hard to see how Pearce can play better. Evidence is the shite he serves up for East each week. Unless you subscribe to the "he's learning" illusion

      Bird, Merrin out
      Best: Tamou, Farah, Pearce, Gallen
      Flops: Carney, B. Stewart, G.Stewart

That was embarassing. Either you land one or walk away.

Cant agree with Merrin did all the tackling and Brett Stewart although had zero opportunities had the most hit ups and meters gained

Snake was good. I wish Minichiello would return teh ball back like that. Its a shame we arent signing Snake. Maybe when we land the tuna it wont matter.

I am not a fan of snake, but can't fault him too much on last night tbo.
Prolly one of the better ones in some ordinary performances, from both sides.

Just a few thoughts on the SOO:

I agree Mitch had a great game, he defended like a mad man, also threw some great balls to spread it, but Qld edge defence was too good.

Hayne was very good, almost every touch he had eventuated in a line break.

Jennings spent the rest of the night trying to make up for getting sinbinned & did plenty, funny he's facing a week's suspension but he wasn't even selected for the Riff, does a week off from the Windsor Wolves count?

Farah was terrific, made very important metres up the middle & if Buehrer is picked for game 2 we will pay dearly when Farah is off & Buehrer is on, he had no idea, if we really want a second hooker on the bench it has to be Hinchcliffe.

I thought Gallen was good without being heroic, looks to be playing injured, I saw his knee buckle again late in the game.

Snake Stewart was woeful in defence, no effort in cover to assist Uate at all, watch the replay Snake did not even attempt to get near the play in defence, I don't think he's up to it anymore.

Tamou - welcome Kiwi, you are now one of us!

Did Creagh play? Actually I do remember him tackling Hodges, I secretly wanted Hodgo to feign putting one on him, just to see him run away again, sorry.

Morris did a pretty good job against Inglis, but it just looked to be an unfair fight, I don't know but I reckon a big bastard like Idris is our only hope of getting over the top of Inglis, but he's fat & can't tackle, go figure!

And finally, to the great white hope, the boy wonder, the next big thing, the best East's signing since Fittler - unfortunately for him I don't think TC will ever stand for Top Cat, he was like a rabbit blinded & stunned by the bright lights, to date he sure is no big game player, I really would love to see the Gummies make the GF this year, just to see Toddy fall flat on his face again, just like the 2010 GF, just like any old night at Northies really!

True, but Thaiday is a cat anyway.

Well, Sam Thaiday does look like Teresa Merrit, who was the star of the 1974 comedy of the same name.

It's funny, I was in my local servo yesterday and I saw a voodoo doll of Sam for sale.

Why he was wearing those clothes I do not know.

Not sure if it is correct to complete that word?

I actually thought we might have been in trouble last night when I saw that little girl who sang the national anthem was wearing that maroon wig!!
