Don't think Pearce was even that bad if I'm honest.
You could just tell Carney was sh*tting himself out there
Pearce was about a 6/10, definitely not "great" in any sense... His first half let him down but he warmed up to the match eventually and produced a much more controlled performance
Carney was simply shitting himself. What's the bet he'll go back to club footy and start playing shit? 4/10~

What did Carney do to earn the 4? I thought he was terrible from start to finish.

My standards of rating are with the belief that all players start from 5/10
He kicked the ball for NSW's first try.
BUT apart from that, he was probably a 3/10 actually. There was potential in his runs as he floated across field but you just felt that he never threatened that much at all
Jnr Jnr was great tonight, in the second half he improved even further - he seemed to do everything at 100mph
Jnr Jnr had a great game.Steered us around the park well all night.Delivered great ball to his outside backs.
Took crooked officials to take the win off him ...

Bit harsh to trash Carney. First Origin game and obviously the occasion gets to players. For most debutants it's difficult, but if you're debuting in the halves after a week of press coverage about how you 'belong in origin' and are 'the key to NSW' it is even worse. He had nowhere to hide and he was found out. He wasn't the impact player we all wanted, but we shouldn't have expected much different.
That all being said, he failed to do the simple things correct which is concerning.

The first try was actually off a Farah kick - I guess we can call it a 2/10 .
Personally i thought Hayne was crap, he spent far too much effort running sideways and lying around trying to milk penalties.
My best would be Bird,Farrah, Gallen and Pearce.

Pearce had an average game by his own standards.
didn't rate Tamou's performance? Close to our best. Always kept breaking through the wal
