  • JWH receives grade 1 careless high tackle charge

Must say I'm stunned that JWH got away with only a fine.

Roosters prop Jared Waerea-Hargreaves faces a fine after he was charged with a Grade 1 Careless High Tackle for an incident involving Cowboys back-rower Thomas Mikaele at Allianz Stadium.

The tackle in the 12th minute of Sunday's game was initially missed by match officials but Waerea-Hargreaves was placed on report after the bunker had reviewed the contact.

Fellow Rooster Siua Wong was charged with Contrary Conduct (match official) and will be fined $1000 with an early guilty plea while North Queensland's Heilum Luki faces a $1000 fine for a Dangerous Throw on Sitili Tupouniua.

JWH got away with that, I was expecting to be sidelined for 2-3 weeks.
Pay the fine and move on, he would lose and be out two weeks if they try and challenge it.

Siua Wong ran into the ref - JWH has used up the 3 chances in that category so the next one will be a suspension - Has a hammy issue so the bye comes in handy - Dom Young ankle injury - have to wait what the medical report says- heard a syndesmosis injury is a possibility

We lost the game, so hence the light fine!

            NRL got the result.

              Lol that's a joke.

Just proves that it's not the act but rather how injured the player is or how injured they pretend to be that matters.

Fair play to the Cowboys player who got up and played on but in all reality it should've been a sin bin and a couple of weeks on the sideline.

He's treading a thin line if he wants to surpass Aubbo as the most capped Rooster.

What...no charge for that malicious tackle that Sam Walker did on Braidon Burns????? That's an outrage, I thought he was going to have to have his leg amputated the way he carried on!

If he's out he can watch re-runs of his performance yesterday.

That’s it for me too, any number of players would have stayed down and jwh would have been in the bin.

And no charge for Kez for that innocuous tackle to the head. Achieved the result though. Was on tackle 2 - got then down field with a kick and another set of 6.

No hammy for JWH. Just a sore back. Should be right for next game. And is Dom is Good to go too.

Jaydub was sweet...nothing in it. Occasionally they get it right.
