Great for Robbo to answer questions that may have been awkward. Handled that with class, as usual. said he was disappointed and confused but laughed it off saying he was glad for the cooling off period so he didn’t come down and not want to be there
was keen to work with Fifita
said he doesn’t expect Fifita to pick up the phone and call him - what a coward
Angus critchon and he have talked and keen to get something in place still
apparently the sitili being asked to look elsewhere was false (I’m still okay to move him on as he is outside the 17 and on good coin)
also that we may look at someone but not Rush into in otherwise wait until the following year
might mean we front load contracts for 2025 and have a larger cap for 2026 and stack it

What stood out to me from Robbo’s interview was the lack of class for Mr.Fifita to not even have the guts to pick up the phone and do the respectful thing by informing Robbo or Nick of his change of mind..

All class from Robbo and pretty much exactly how I felt when I saw the news when I woke up, a bit disappointed but if he didn’t want to be here then **** him he would’ve caused more significant issues down the line.

Not quite sure what your getting at mate but yes I’d call in a coward before a hero
he had 2 years left and shat on the titans getting his management to call riff and chooks saying he wants to be there
Visits both and had riff thinking he had them as well
We signed him
then a week later gets his management as they didn’t want to renig on the deal and to call at 10pm (I’m in bed well before then) to ring uncle nick to say he wanted to stay at titans
the titans should be embarrassed
all he does is listen to who is taking to him
tbh is stuffed everyone around from the titans, his management and the roosters and players as he initiated the contact
BTY he was taking to robbo for 30 min about how he could be used other then that nick and his management did it all
and Nathan and Ivan Cleary were convinced he was going there! So can’t just blame robbo thinking he had him!

Robbos delivery has got softer and a little more indecisive than say a couple of seasons back. He now has this habit of answering questions to start with a higher pitched "Aaaarr" (insert thinking music). Quite amusing actually.

On the plus side I liked that he played down the Fifita cold feet backflip, and minimised its potential impact on us.
