I remember a few games ago when we played the knights at the sfs, I payed somewhere around $70 for me and my two kids, and about $30 or more for snacks believe it or not and we didn't even eat that much. So all up around $100. I could have taken my kids to luna park for the whole day and had change left over for $100.
One of the big problems with league IMO and why the larger stadiums (ANZ, SFS) do not attract much fans except for when big games are on.
I went to the SFS for the Poocastle game. 50 bucks for a family of 4, 1st time I've paid in living memory. The food is expensive but the parking was 20 bucks and that blew, the carnts. The beer is the biggest problem $6.90 for unleaded is criminal.
Besides unSkilled up here is much more expensive but thankfully I didn't have to pay. They do have free parking and transfers. Food and grog is the same rip off.
As for Luna park I havent been for years but at the Zoo 3 years ago, last time I took the kids, was $99 for a family pass, $10 for parking and the food and grog prices were the same as the footy. Similar prices with the aquarium, museum etc the other tourist traps.
I think the price of a family pass at the SFS is quite competitive in comparison to other grounds and entertainment available in Sydney.

The ironic thing is that Manly are known as not travelling, yet today I reckon there was no more than 800 Roosters fans at the game. I went with my Roosters mate and Manly mate and have to say I was embarrassed with our turnout. Where were you all?I respect all our moderators here. Past present and even future. Always have done and always will do a wonderful job.

Nah really no bs, I was surprised myself when the lady told me the price as well. Usually its no more than $50 like you say, I dunno maybe she made a mistake. The prices being mentioned about manly are ridiculous though $60 a seat. What are those Northern Beaches Bitches smoking???

$50 is all we paid for 2adults and 2kids mate, that's why I commented the way i did. As I said I haven't paid to go to the footy for as long as I can remember that's why I took note of the price cos I expected to drop more than I did.
What killed me was getting shrapnel as change for a 4 pack of unleadeds. But that goes for all grounds.
And the parking being $20 was rude IMO. Fark me I remember playing and training on moore park, right where we parked. And we had to pay back then for the privilege.
But I dig your point, footy is too expensive especially for families.
IMO if they really wanted fans they'd charge $10 for adults and $5 for the kids and the joint would be packed. They could then recoup their outlay with merchendise sales and in the corporates, they deserve to pay the rich carnts.

I went yesterday but I can see why no one returns, $25 to sit on a hill & the shit facilities just top it off.
It really is the worst ground in the NRL and I say that with confidence having been to nearly every away ground in the NRL.
It's Henson park with a few little upgrades. I'd say we made up about 10% of the crowd yesterday, which isn't great but twice as much as what you'll see of Manly supporters at our home games.
