  • Sandon Smith charged with grade 2 dangerous contact charge

Thought the NRL would take a look at his charge down of that Walker kick it has reached the point you simply can't make contact with the legs of a kicker.

Roosters utility Sandon Smith is facing a stint on the sidelines after being charged with a Grade 2 Dangerous Contact offence late in the win over the Warriors on Sunday.

Smith faces a one-match ban with an early guilty plea that doubles if he chooses to fight the charge and is unsuccessful.

Just losing Sandon for one week is a good result overall. Fox Sports seemed to be campaigning for the NRL to suspend Su, Keary, Angus, JWH and Mother Teresa (if she was wearing her Roosters jersey).

If Brandon was back this week I would have expected Sandon to make way anyway.

I think we can absorb this farcical judiciary operation.

Meanwhile, "Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii, Luke Keary (both Dangerous Contact) and Angus Crichton (Dangerous Contact - Tripping) were all charged, with Suaalii and Crichton facing fines between $1000-$1500 for first offences and Keary between $1800-$2500 for his second offence of that type".

I hope the relevant officials and decision makers have picked a nice hotel for their Christmas vacation.

1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

                It's getting beyond stupid.
I'm sick of seeing players charged for nothing incidents and milking being rewarded.
It's not like rugby league anymore.

This sport loves making its own players not available.

no one else flip flops on ruling midway through a season like nrl

The NRL judiciary naming players and fining them or suspending is all part of an engineered competition for a win win financial result for the NRL/Media partnership besides the click bait revenue it generates by the weekly drama all too prevalent for 27 weeks.
So let’s look at the engineering of Magic Round in Brisbane as an example - and the NRL magic wand. Brisbane play on the Friday night of course whilst the NRL has officially designated it as an away game like past seasons.

IMO it's that and an attempt to fend off any legal challenges from retired players saying 'I suffered this injury because you guys didn't enforce your rules'.

NRL's response: 'we did! The offending player has a recorded confession that HE owed you a duty of care [not us] and that he was negligent in this instance... so sue him, not us'.

Nor was the Warriors player for flipping JWH on his head in a tackle, not even a penalty from the corrupt regime.

You’ve answered my question. Why was he even put on report? Without being biased , I couldn’t see anything wrong with that
