Mate I've got big issues with anasta but I'm not going to blame him for friend deciding to go blind side on last tackle. He does it when Pearce is next to him as well.

If Anasta took control of our last tackle options & was more involved generally (which as 5/8 & captain he should be) i doubt you'd see Jake taking this option. In saying that it certainly wasnt one of Jake's better games.

I think that Friend must take valium before games because he is very slow, and his decision making is like that of a highly impaired person.

His love affair with those stupid blindside plays is ****ing ridiculous, he makes David "Diamonds" O'Donnell look like Steve Walters in his prime. Give him a spell at Newtown with Captain Spastic.

Mate, go have a look at the replay, watch how many times Bwaiff calls Friend down the blindside.
I'm not saying it's all Captain Fantastic's fault.

Secondly, Friend has to stop taking one or two steps from dummy half, he is just slowing things down and allowing the opposition to be in our faces and/or the receiver to either over-run the ball or take it with no where to go except get smashed. Yes agreed. His service from dummy half is slow. And this is a result of poor decision making. Often he takes those steps because he's unsure of what he's going to do. He needs to start making early decisions and sticking to them. If you're going to run, run. If not, pass immediately

Friend is not a dummy half in the modern game. He is more suited to playing lock.He could be our Gallen or Hindmarsh , a worker in the pack who could fill in at 9 or 7 if required. Ant Mitchell must be at 9. He has a good and quick passing game and adds a bit of zip around the ruck.

This is becoming more apparent by the week, you either need to have world class service/craftiness ala Cam Smith or be extremely nippy like Luke - Friend has neither, Ant has the nippiness and should be getting serious game time at hooker each week.

I conquer, rather than ask why peni kicked the ball out on the full, we should ask why peni was kicking the ball in the first place.

Under the highball he made a really good grab in the air as did minichiello, so imo they didn't have the worst of games like people are making them out to have had. Yes they made some bad decisions in attack but they still had some impact in the game and were always looking to get involved.
