    What about suaali
once Billy smith gets back (if) he won’t be in the 17 and is on $750k
as it’s mentioned he hasn’t given up a wallaby spots, lions tour and World Cup spot and $800k to come to play nsw cup

Agree, but he won’t be playing reserve grade. He’s a quicker, better stepping, higher jumper than JS. He will be ahead of Smith & Murphy next year already & im very confident that he gets picked before them.

He must be the lowest maintenance easy to coach player in the comp toops.
        I hope he never retires

That's assuming that Robbo opts for Billy Smith ahead of Suaalii.

Suaalii was already on big money before Billy Smith showed that he is more than capable. I'd imagine that Billy is on peanuts (around 300k a year) which offsets Suaaliis price tag.

It’s an illogical conclusion, Robbo was quite clear that he’s looking to purchase a centre. Would’ve had nothing to do with Tupou.

I think he will once Billy gets a game or two back
Billy smith had the left centre spot and Suaali was playing fullback in the res grade backline until round 1 when Billy got injured
Suaali will fill spots all year but has not found it easy at centre! Where Billy smith has shown how good he is in attack and defence at left centre.

I don’t know.. with the amount of injuries in the game these days I think there’s a genuine argument to having a outside back and or a spine player as depth on good money, they are pretty much guaranteed to play 15-20 games. It’s such a specialist position too, I think you can save money on your forward depth.

I have no doubt this Faalogo kid playing for the Storm tonight who just re-signed a multiple year deal would be on decent coin for a depth player.. I’d argue he’s worth it.

Players that demand good money want to play 1st grade week in week out imo. I can't think of a quality spine player or outside back who's on market value that's playing Reggies unless they've been dropped or recovering from injury.

There is a good chance you’ll see it too.

The Roosters were lucky to have the Hutchinator who was on peanuts when you look at the number of games he played especially 2021-23 - 62 games- min contract around 120k (2019-21) - 180k (2022/23).

From reading the article it seems unclear whether Robbo and the club are helping him continue his career in the ESL or extend with Easts.
IMO offering him an extension is a must.

Excellent news. A legend. Cannot say enough good things about Toops. No idea why it was considered a foregone conclusion he was retiring.

It’s important to have that kind of player around as the next generation of youth starts coming through.

I believe I’m right when I say he celebrates his 250th next week.

It does make me wonder if they’re looking at developing Marky Mark as a centre or whether Dom Young is being looked at as a centre next year.

When Suualli returns, he and Marky Mark in the centres.
