Maubs doesn't deserve the captaincy on the back of some of his work this year. He just doesn't get involved. Pearce is the natural captain of this team on the field. Not quite sure he suits it off the field but its not for me to decide. It's not like we ahve a bunch of players putting their hand up anyway...

On topic, the sooner Anasta leaves the better off we will be. He just doesn't care anymore.

I just finished watching the game. At 75mins 30secs Rohan Smith walks up to him and says something. Anasta shouts something back at him then starts walking off.

This explains why Friend kicked on the last however Mortimer should have been more alert.

Yep he was hooked at the 75th minute mark. Soon after that awful set when we got the ball back from the kickoff and Anasta kept going to the blind and squandered it. Smith obviously as frustrated as the rest of us.

Hopefully a sign of things to come. It was pretty obvious today that we would probably look pretty good with Mortimer at 6 when Pearce is back.

We all know that Anasta should be punted.

It would be a courageous call by Smith, and perhaps in previous years he would make the call, I just don't think it is in him nowadays.

I cannot see Anasta going from captain to Newtown. They may trot out Anasta has a lower back problem & he may not play the next game but I cant even see that happening, I would put my house on it that he will be 5/8 next game & captain.
