  • Milking

Just watched the eagles dolphins game.

Never seen such a milkathon before. Every slight high shot, hip drop, crusher, on both sides, saw the player stay down rubbing their head, ankle or neck, waiting for a review, which inevitably led to a penalty that would have not been given without review by bunker.

I'm not saying Robbo is wrong for refusing to employ this dog tactic, but every single team except us does it relentlessly, and there's no doubt it puts us at a disadvantage which costs us points and games in tight contests.

Importantly, it earns us no kudos or favours with the NRL to take this moral high ground. They farken hate our guts. And show it.

That “high” shot that the bunker gave was inexcusable, that’s not rugby league, and justice that the fins won.

It’s embarrassing and it ruins games for me. Found it very hard to watch Manly tonight, Garrick must have grabbed his neck 3 times.

It’s not what our game is about. Manly were looking for shortcuts all night, glad they lost tbh.

I have a memory of Souths do it fairly heavily when Seibold coached there as well. I wonder if he specifically employs it more than other coaches.

On topic, no other fans know that we don't milk anywhere near the same level as literally every other team, but I'm glad all the same. We get no credit for it, but I also find it embarrassing to watch.

I cant remember the last Warriors game where Dallin Watene-Zelezniak hasn't stayed down holding the back of his neck or his jaw. If the injury is that bad that he cant get to his feet then as a duty of care he should be given 15 minutes HIA

Ae you talking about the Jessie Bromwich one on Turbo can’t even call it a slap?

Look at who the coach is he started this milking rubbish at Souffs took it to Brisbane and now at the Sea gulls.

                Great win by the Phins.

Did Manly play Dolphins last night? Nah, I could've sworn I was watching a soccer game between Brazil and France, there were that many fake injuries. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who noticed it.

At the end of the day this is on the NRL and their incompetence to make a simple rule change..

How hard is it to implement a “stay down come off the field policy”?

A simple solution that’s been spoken about on numerous occasions in the media and fans yet the NRL have failed to do anything about it..

Unfortunately this will keep going until the head administrators wake up and make a change!

Rod for your own back comes to mind.

                      Robbo warned them!

Because the knock on effect of the ‘stay down, come off’ rule is coaches manipulating the interchange rule.

Prop gets a slap in the face in the 20th minute, stays down. Ref forces them off, free interchange. Then you can carry more middles on the bench. Parramatta are guilty of it and look where it’s got Brad Arthur and his team.

Agree dog mun but we are at a major disadvantage by not participating.

Every player that backed into a tackle come out of it holding their neck. That's not a crusher tackle and blokes shouldn't be penalised for it.
