    ROOSTERS SQUAD v WARRIORS

    Round 10 - 2:00pm, Sunday 12th May
    Allianz Stadium, Sydney

I'm going to try not to get too excited here. Last weeks win was phenomenal, and with that on top of the Anzac Day performance I want to believe that we are about to go on a run that will catapult us into the top 4 to stay. With the guys coming back from injury and suspension, we are a stronger team than the last fortnight. Playing a Warriors team that have been struggling for the last month at Allianz should be a walkover, BUT, we have yet to prove we can perform week-in and week-out. It's pretty easy to be up for a game against the Bronco's and there ilk, but we have a tendency to not turn up like that against the lesser teams, sometimes to our utter embarrassment. We SHOULD be unbackable favourites for this game. We've won our last 7 games against the Warriors, but a (predicted) very wet track on Sunday arvo will be a big evener.

Jazz fittingly brings up his 300th game for the Roosters at home, becoming only the 4th player in our 117 year history to earn the highly-coveted Golden Rooster. I have serious man-love for this bloke, he is an absolute bloody champion, and in my opinion, irreplaceable. He has been the heart and soul of our team for so long, he will leave a very large hole when he hangs up his boots for us at years end. Let's celebrate him while we have him ... this will be his day. I'm backing him for a try ... I reckon he'll grab one in his second stint.

The Warriors have a few threats - AFB is hard to stop, CNK has his moments, Johnson can work some magic, and of course RTS is always dangerous. On their day they can play some good footy. We can't take them lightly.

Lots to like with the team list this week. Plenty of top-notch players back, with Jazz, Rads, Toops, & Leniu all returning to the 17, meaning Tupouniua, Wong, Egan, & Pauga miss out. Whyte named on the bench, so he might get a run on an edge. It's tough on these guys who have performed very well, but spots are limited and it's a good problem to have. This side is very close to full strength, with probably only Billy Smith still being unavailable from our best possible 17. But until he's back, the count goes on .... now 109.

I usually love Sunday arvo games, but this won't be a sunny afternoon where we can throw the pill around and run riot. We have to go through the middle, kick well, build pressure and play conservative footy. If we earn the right to eventually get a little flamboyant, so be it, but we MUST lay the platform first.

A happy Mothers (game) Day for all the mum's out there. What better gift than a big Roosters victory? Unfortunately for me, my daughters have booked a late Mothers Day lunch, at 2:00pm ... DAMN IT!! I'll be getting updates via the Roosters app & watching a replay on Sunday night. Good luck to the boys.

That is literally our strongest team imo. Not sure Brandon will be risked though.
The only one who could possibly put their hand up to be included is Billy but he would have to have a few games in reggies and even then I doubt he would find a spot without an injury.

Getting a bit of movement thinking about Whyte attacking on an edge.

    Pity there is rain around.

Kasey gets demoted from a Tigers vs Bulldogs game to our game. FFS.

Wow the is would be the most players available or strongest squad we have assembled in years
only Billy smith out from the top 22 man squad
he will come back for suaali after he gets a few games in res
the depth is strong considering smith, sitili, Egan and Wong arnt on the 17
expecting a late change or two maybe Brendon smith out for sandon or something
nearly forgot Spencer was in the squad he is finally back

and very glad robbo kept Whyte in the 17. Whyte played edge in under 20s and edge so can cover back row as well we prop

who knows what roosters side will turn up
warriors were predicted to be strong this year but have so far under delivered
they have some good names though
let’s do this big day with jwh 300th for the mighty chooks

Name a better bench in the comp? That bench will strike fear into any other side
so does the depth we don’t have playing in the 17

Both our second rowers are 80min players. Interesting to see our rotation

Jesus ****ing Christ what a team, this is what we’ve been waiting for.

18-22 players are better than most teams starting players.

fingers crossed we remain mostly injury cause that team is phenomenal.

they should get revved up for Jared’s 300th, what an exciting game

It's funny that when a team is playing well their roster can look like it's valued at $20 million plus hence why we cop so much flack from clowns like Gorden Tallis about our salary cap. I say fark em.

It's a great time to be a Roosters fan! What a list!!!

              Up The Chooks

Great work Waylander. Thanks. Lot's of love to Zoolander xxx

So how do you tell her that she's a shite official without coming across as a chauvinistic pig?

Wow that is a seriously good team if that is the team to run out Sunday.

I had a feeling that we would get Mrs Badge and no doubt she will be looking to be firm. Victor $1.06 to get a sin bin.

The Warriors will look to break a three-game losing streak but if we continue to improve on our past few games, we will be far too strong.

keep that sort of team on the park for the rest of the season and we''ll go alright.
hard to get a read on the warriors. few losses of late but have had some good wins this year. they've got a side that can be dangerous

I have requested an early Mother’s day lunch on Sunday so I am back in time for the game. That’s the best team we’ve had for a while so here’s hoping we don’t have too many late scratchings. It’s a pity about the weather forecast as we’re not too flash playing in the rain.

I’m not surprised by the team at all. It’s what I expected. What will surprise me if that’s the team that actually takes the field. Most likely there will be one or two that pull out as it seems to happen most weeks. Our biggest issue this week is that the players will look around themselves and may be complacent. Enter Mr. Robinson.

But….there is no way we aren’t winning on Jarred’s big day.

Was thinking the same thing. Maybe he'd prefer Klein, Sutton etc. For a change, I think we'll be given an unbiased even break.

"Do you expect me to talk"? "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die".
