Collins, Teddy and Angus are likely, with Watson a smokey for the utility role. Whilst he’s been playing really well for us and I think he will play Origin at some point, I’d be surprised to see May get a call up just yet.
I think the day of ‘utilities’ in origin is slowly falling behind us. The double hooker role appears to be where we’re headed, and that will belong to most likely Api and either Egan or Robson. Agree on Keary, he’d be lucky to keep his spot with Sandon breathing down his neck. May is an interesting one. The starting props will most likely be Jurbo and Haas, but outside of those two there’s no real standout prop for the bench spot.

After the last fortnight they would be dumb not to pick Teddy. If I was him, I'd play and win this series for NSW, and then retire from rep footy. Better to go out a winner than losing two straight series.

Teddy Collins and Angus will be picked IMO. Suaalii in case they want height on the wing. Walker and May in the squads for the experience.

Teddy, Lindsay and now Gus are certainties.
            May, Joe Rugby, maybe’s

Connor is playing himself into the 14 jersey I hope this doesn’t happen nothing to gain playing that rubbish.

If DCE goes down Sammy will be picked, hopefully they go with Deardan instead.

Firstly, I agree Teddy should be picked but to counter it Edwards has been in form longer than the last two weeks.. Statistically wise he is playing better and 3 comps in a row looks good on the resume.

Part of me selfishly hopes Teddy doesn't get selected. He is just the new whipping boy whenever nsw lose which he has taken the mantle from Pearcey unfortunately. I'd prefer him to focus on the chooks.

I think we play the Cowboys before one of the Origin games, which they will be missing a fair few players..

Shouldn't Cleary be the new whipping boy? Its his team. Edwards is good, but I rate Teddy, Walsh and Turbo as the best 3 FBs atm.

I personally think he should. Not because he's rubbish but because:

                    1. It's his team.

                    2. We know he can bring a GF back from the dead through individual brilliance, but simply doesn't do that at Origin level.

                    3. Pearce copped it for years and in his defence, he wasn't of the same profile as Cleary. He was simply the bloke they picked... a job he accepted.

IMO Cleary's club level success shouldn't be confused with his performance at Origin level.

                      1. Teddy should get selected but not a definite could go either way
he is better and has the runs on the board but I won’t feel bad if Edwards does just so Teddy can focus on the chooks
Tbh Edwards is good amd consistent but doesn’t offer much strike or try assists, has 1-2 errors a game usually unforced errors dropping an easy bomb, and the riff combo has struggled in Origen
put Edwards in another side he still would be consistent but not getting the accolades he is now
                      2. Collins - all but definite for qld
                      3. Angus critchon is a massive chance - especially now with Murray out I would pick manly backrow and Gus to start with Martin on bench
Shows you what we have been missing with Gus but when his head is in the right space he is just about the best edge in the comp
also couldn’t start in our 17 to start the year now Origen in 6 weeks

                      4. Watson would be a perfect 14 - I hope they don’t being selfish but he is would be the perfect utility and in form (I think only an outside chance to be selected though)
                      5. rads - I know he is not eligible but if he was he is playing better then yeo and Murray ( maybe lucky he chose England otherwise he would be finally making his debut) hard to believe either injury or suspension has cost him a jersey since 2020 but he would be the perfect Origen player - could be 13 or 14/15 off the bench

Yes he should but Roosters players always seem to be over scrutinised. Cleary should've closed out game 1 for blues but he didn't and Teddy copped it.

                          Watson as their 14?
                          Collins for sure
Teddy for game 1 at least
                          Gus good chance

If blokes like To'o & the fox arent fit then Toups & Suaalii are chance.
I cant see Watson getting the 14 jumper.
