He's changed his game quicktime with us, again a credit to the coaching staff.

Has addressed the early yardage carries with better position and thrust. Plus not scared to use his speed across field to hit better space. No issue with guys cross fielding as long as they have quick feet and/or are picking up a straight runner.

He played with so much confidence last night. Pretty to watch.

Dom has been much better over the past 2 weeks. Stronger carries out of our half and not getting pushed back. Huge improvement.

Young is definitely finding his rhythm and confidence. He's also working hard in yardage. I'm not a fan of the across field running. That's for back yard footy.

Love seeing him hit the accelerator., great weapon.Sometimes catches the high kicks well and then randomly has a lack of confidence and let's it bounce. I'm sure Robbo will fix it.

I think he is fast enough to pull off the occasional sideways run. I would like to see him back himself a little more instead of kicking as often but he improving quickly.

I’m just worried about his defence. Looks clueless on that side of the ball

One of his sideways runs for Newcastle brought him a try last year from about 80 metres out. He’s fast enough to catch them. Also his put down for his try looked easy but it was his speed that made it look so easy.

The suspension probably worked out well for him. He was being heavily targeted and it all got too much for him against the dogs. They obviously worked on a few things during his time off.

He’s still a bit shaky under the high ball though. Other teams know it and they kick to him at every opportunity. With all the practice though he’s bound to get better.

It does take time to settle in at a new club with different systems and playing styles let alone playing with new players.

57 NRL games for 47 tries - 4 tries / 3 try assists and 8 line breaks in 6 games so far for the Roosters.

The right side is still a work in progress and will only get better.

As Fittler was saying his positional play is a feature as he runs onto the ball where a lot of wingers over run the play i.e get in front of the centre or are in line with the centre - causing either a forward pass to be thrown or the play to break down.

I definitely noticed he is overall running straighter and harder after he came back from suspension. Though some of his sideways runs actually look dangerous. He did that last week against the dragons and made a line break in the 2nd half

Two great games back to back. Nice to see him improving as the season progresses. His defence hasn’t really been tested in these two games though.

To learn how to became a great winger he just needs to look at the bloke on the other side of the field.

At the game, I felt like he had a very mixed night. Probably got a bit lucky with the pass back inside for Manu to score, looked very uncomfortable with the high kicks (although the first one early in the game looked almost uncatchable at the ground - swirled a mile) and his defense is definitely still suspect. Also think he should have regathered off the kick to score? With all that said, there is plenty of upside though and he is certainly improving. Glad we got him.

We have lacked genuine pace for a while
dom will score many tries others can’t
he has improved his yardage and has got Manu and Teddy trying to get him the ball on the outside which is great and not going themselves

IMO he woulda broken a lot of Brisbane hearts with his catching of lob passes and strategic kicks... that height is an asset!!!

At least 2-3 times I saw lob passes go out to Brisbane's left with an overlap (above everybody's head). Rather than Jamming in (and getting suspended for it - seems like he's learned his lesson), Young just frigging popped a cheeky arm up, caught the high balls and put BIG metres on them.

Young's an impressive physical specimen (who else in the comp is THAT tall and has THAT much lean muscle mass around the pecs?!?!? He's farking jacked!!!) He also knows how to play footy well enough to balance out his flaws. IMO with development, Young could well be the best winger in the comp, noting that wingers are starting to become more important than centres. Great investment!!!
