There are many reasons to feel proud of our great club, and I was just listening to the Jam and Cheese podcast where it was revealed that Luke Keary has told the club his intention to retire at the seasons end TWO weeks ago.

not a peep, not a leak, no whispers from the inner sanctum. I’m proud that a secret can remain a secret for Luke’s sake and allowed him to announce it when he was ready.

unlike a stain of a club across Anzac pde where there were leaks to journos while their meetings to sack the coach were still going on. I love that we have quality people involved at Easts.

    Long may it continue.

Same as the 2018 GF. There were no leaks about whether Cronk was playing. Shows the trust within the club

Cronk himself didn’t know if he was going to play until the day before.

The players knew many days before hand that he had a broken bone and not one of them leaked it to the media.

That is one hell of a tight knit group.

We're solid! There is so much to be proud of. It's not just about winning premierships. It's also about walking with your head help high between winning comps. I love the Roosters more than life.

I think the club gave him until the last possible moment to make the decision.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

                well picked up.
for mine there's a difference between the inner circle on the one hand and some of its supporters on the other. clearly the inner circle is very tight. making the semis in 2021, despite losing half or our salary cap to injury, shows the players are made of the right stuff. or making the semis in the last two years despite poor starts to the season shows a never say die attitude. or the come back v the dogs, winning the 12 v 13 contest 26-4. whether or not that resilience is on robbo or on the players themselves doesn't matter.
everyone on here is a dyed in the wool roosters fan, but those who reckon robbo has lost the dressing room or whatever are on another planet

no wonder Luke commented after ANZAC game the more Sammy push him out of the way the better. Subtle hint there
