If the bugler screwed up would you have blamed Robbo?

The ceremonial aspect of the day was done very nicely imo. Class. Our ANZAC jersey is the best too.

Speaking of… how bad was Souths jersey!?

Here I was thinking they couldn’t look any worse when in the red and green.

Tbh, I always love the pre game events before an ANZAC day game but was wasn’t overly impressed this time.
There wasn’t as much circling the ground and marching going on like in previous years. The helicopter landing in the field was cool but that was pretty much it plus the two old cars carrying a couple of vets.

The bugler was awesome but the highlight for me was the young lady who did the anthems. She sang them exactly how they should be sung and the crowd let her know it. The look on her face as the crowd clapped and cheered was priceless. You could see how proud she was and so she should be.

Surely anything’s better than red and green?

              I miss the jets.

              Not of the Newtown variety.

Couldn't have said it any better rented tracksuit. I thought the bugler was flawless. So proud was the young lady that sang the anthems, I thought we might have got a tear if they kept the camera on her. I'm always pleased for them when they nail their big moment like that. Hours and hours of practice, for one performance. I am sure they would also feel the added weight of wanting to get it just right to honour the troops. I hope they are both back next year! They were simply outstanding.

They were both great. I teared up deluxe for the last post and said at the time to my wife that was the best I’ve ever heard. Then the anthems were just as moving; bloody hell I even teared up for the NZ anthem. Must be getting old.

The NZ anthem is a beautiful piece of music, very stirring.

Is it wrong that I like it so much more than ours?

Haha...as a patriotic person it may seem at odds when I say there are many better anthems than ours. But you know what? When you are part of a large crowd singing our anthem it doesn't really matter...its still ours

I commented in the match day thread how moving it was at the time. It was the best rendition of The Last Post I have heard for a long time. It was faultless.
