It's good to see the whipping boys of some in Luke Keary, Nat Butcher, and the Dominator (Dom Young), for instance, star as well. Will their detractors acknowledge their performances today?
You have a funny way of acknowledging the master class that Sam delivered today you miserable arse.

Good performances across the park today. They clicked!

A special mention to Cheese whom I have been critical of and whilst his service is still slower and more erratic than I would like, was very dangerous with the ball in hand and played an excellent, long stint today.
Sammy was simply amazing. Looks more like a man than a boy these days, maybe it's just the beard but he seems to be more able to handle the physical stuff than ever before. Dom Young much, much better today too.

        Keary looks unfit to me.

I saw him a few times running back onside in defence with his back towards St George. He was leaving himself open for a raid down his side of the field.

Towards the end I think he copped a knock and was slow to recover his position.

He played well, but he was far from the best out there.

1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Give it up mate. Walker was outstanding today and you were underwhelming as usual

Keary has Exercise Induced Asthma. As does Kieran Foran. It's a narrowing of the airways when they exert which makes them look unfit.

I must look into this. I suffer similar reactions, though I barely exert myself these days.

Says the dipper that wants Keary to have a" head knock" so the club can medically retire him

Not at all. As I said, Sam Walker needed to mix his game up instead of just mainly passing the ball, as it puts no pressure on the D. When he gets the ball, he can put the D in two or three minds as to what he will do when he uses all his repertoire in offence, i.e., run, pass, or kick.

Backed up by Gus Gould and Joey Johns on this as well .

The right side is more lethal than the left with Joseph Manu and the Dominator (Dom Young) on that side . Need to improve the left side in offence so Keary has better options as well

Michael Jennings has a tricep injury which will side-line him for a few months - So Suaalii or Pauga left centre or left wing - Toops TBC how long he will be out for.

I really think that this is what happened. Walker looked the boss out there.

Walker was so impressive today, it was like he was mucking around in his backyard especially some of his short kicks. Hopefully if our pack performs like that again next week, he can bring the magic-to-magic round. I can't remember a Roosters half playing like that since Kez in the 2018 GF. He wore 6 but played 7.

Sam Walkers instinct with his short kicking is second to none.
                        Top shelf
if he holds this form he will rocket into 2nd best halfback in the game pretty quick.

Can we remember this for the rest of the season....... when our forwards don't control the middle, our halves won't be able to do shit—irrespective of who you have in there, Walker, Keary, Sandon Smith, Jesus Christ.

Sam Walker today- that was special. The short kicking game reminded me of Alf Langer. To think he is 21 with still plenty of room for improvement that will come with experience.

I still don’t believe that is the plan. Teddy said in the press conference the next step for Sam is “own the team as a half” …. This to me indicates they still want him getting the team around the park and this definitely takes away from his natural game that has the ability to overcome structured teams like Melbourne and Penrith.

For me Sandon Smith is a better or more natural controller , feel positive about this partnership in the years to come

100% What we saw from Sammy and the way the team responded is exactly the redemption of confidence in Rooster Way.
If we can take this form to BrisVegas and win, Mrs Whippet
....could be your night (or very brief portion of it).
