I started with him but sold him a few weeks ago. Tempted to bring him back next week if no money for Cleary. Has a decent run coming IF we can hold it together.

Obviously the acolades will go to Walker and deservedly, but gee I'd like to make mention of a few others. Connor Watson in particular is having a blinder of a year, and was easily one of the best on ground.

Smith, Suaalii, Manu, Jared and Whyte I thought were all fantastic. Maybe better than fantastic. No-one played poorly but there were some really exceptional performances.

I hope this gives them a bit of confidence going forward. The less structured style seems to suit Walker to a T. Bodies in motion, high effort, but also not particularly excessive with risks taken, I didn't think. I don't feel as though we threw possession away as carelessly as usual.

Agreed about Watson. This is why Robbo wants him in the team. Wouldn’t be surprised if the bench becomes Watson, Sandon Smith, Whyte & May.
