You have probably watched Hugo Savalo play a bit.....what's your take on him?
Is he up to 1st grade standard yet and should the powers that be invest in him by awarding him a development deal?

I thought Tia was promising last year, but by the looks there may have been some issues that the powers decided to let him go.
Like all these young Chooks pushing their claims to play FG... i'm sure they are under the watchful eyes of Robbo & the various coaching staff, so consistent solid performances at Cup level will no doubt help their cause.
I'm no expert, but in these spine positions, there is the added pressure of game management (hence the higher price tag)... so to answer your question, if he continues to put in good consistent performances in Cup & add the Rooster's balancing act of the roster/salary cap, to account for injuries & any other unforeseen circumstances, then he's as good a chance as any in our current system.
I did overhear at a SGBall game this year, from an official of a rival club that half the current chooks side that day would walk into their 30 next year no hesitation! I took it as a compliment to the Chooks system & the high standards in place, that makes FG no easy feat to achieve, & that's the way it should be. A Rooster's jumper is no easy ride. Have a good day mate.
