  • SMH article.. Melb dudded

Gist of the article is basically that Melb were dudded with knock-ons by Lindsay and Jenko and that Teddy should have been binned.

Anusley says he was fine with the bunker calls.

    FFS.

Can we start a campaign at games with signs saying.... Bring back the refs and sack the game managers?

    Of course he was.

Deadset what a muppet. Get rid of the rules if we aren't going to officiate them.

I seen multiple 'disruptor' penalties last round that had less impact then Remis on Manu. Does that mean they were all incorrect decisions?

The writer Nicoloussi is basically now the Souffs shadow writer. He writes all the puff pieces for them. He hates us

Annesley reminds me of the parent of a kid who always gets in trouble at school and when called in to see the principal they are in denial because their kid is a saint.

They are grown men who fcuked up. If they can't handle the criticism fcuk off and be an influencer.

        Own it ffs.

I saw quotes from Grahm Annesley which said that he was happy with the process the bunker went through to determine the decisions on the NAS & Reimis Smith interference.

Process being the key word, I didn't see him comment on whether he thought the outcome was right.

It's just a lot of corporate jargon, designed to remove accountability as he feels like the refs are copping too much abuse from coaches & media.

Unfortunately looks like our relationship with the NRL officials is a frosty one at the moment as any genuine Rugby League supporter knows when you're in mid-air it only takes the slightest of touches to put you off, two hands in the back is blatant interference. If someone with Annesley's knowledge and experience in the game can't admit they got that wrong I'm afraid we probably won't get many more admissions of fault this year.

The admissions of fault don’t bother me, it’s the decisions themselves.

id start being petty if I was the coach now, the NRL shows no respect, he is the least respected/liked coaches by other fans, so give them nothing.

If the reporter asks of a controversial incident in the game, tell them the match officials did a magnificent job.

praise the referee and match officials, say how wonderful a job they are doing even when they had a shocker.

The nice guy routine doesn’t work, the complaining route doesn’t work. Heap praise on them, that might work.

Jenko definitely lost the ball in the play the ball before Manu’s try. It was one of the few decisions that went our way.

The officials continue to get worse. The new trend this season is designing a rule on the fly that best suits the theatre.

I want black and white, I don't like discretion. We always conveniently seem to get screwed over by it.

The no try on Manu against the riff I can cop, if it means we got the two calls the other night against Melbourne. Not everyone will agree but it's the only way to make things 'fair'.

All 3 should be tries imo, but if your by the rule book, black and white, theyre not.

Otherwise peoples opinions will just ruin any chance of consistency.

But that is in general play. Plenty of misses there. I thought we got nudded with the two low tackles from Smith and JWH. I think the Smith penalty led to a try (I think).

These were decision with repeated slow mo videos. Using general play decisions to cover the bunker decisions is a feeble clutch at straws.

                        As am I.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Yep, the gaslighting by the NRL, refs, Anusley and their media stooges is ramping up even further.

It sure is hard to emotionally invest in a club like the roosters that is so obviously disrespected and targeted, from the fans to the players, captain and coach.

I would say Robinson is the most hated coach in memory and I can understand why - he is obviously intelligent and articulate, as well as honourable. He has at times been outspoken about poor, biased officiating and targeting of our club and particular players. Nothing makes a human being more hateful and vengeful than being made to look, and feel, stupid or intellectually inferior. And he has done this to these biased, stupid morons many times.

No wonder we are getting reamed every week in close games by the match officials and then mocked by Anusley by pretending there's nothing to see.

And don't get me started again on our key prop getting suspended for a third of the season for making a monkey cry.

If we were winning, there would be less chatter about the refs.

We could actually be undefeated if we were coached correctly.

                            Get better - not bitter.

Player 1 kudos to your terrific post. It’s no coincidence either that since the Vegas trip and Joe Kelly our CEO having been appointed to the board of the American NRL has seen the NRL ramp up their dislike of the Roosters at club level and with the appointment of match officials to carry out their agenda.
