Same with competing for kicks. All this crap about can't touch the kicker while he's in the air. That is NOT what the original rule was brought in for!

Why do we even bother watching? I'm honestly starting to think I must have a mental illness for putting myself through this nonsense.
The 6 agains are the biggest blight on the game,

the raiders are up 8-1 in 6 agains. Awful awful rule.

It undermined Robbo's playing system. One could argue that we've looked fragile ever since the rule was introduced.

No argument from me. But it's all part of V'Landys 'Rugby League Lite' vision.

          Top 3 would be
          • Block and decoy runner plays - Inside and outside shoulder and defence decision nonsense.
          • 7 tackle restart
          • Set restarts

NFL 2.0 heading that way. Start throwing yellow flags everywhere.

At least the obstruction and 7 tackle sets are explained and reason given, the set restarts are frustrate players and fans, due to no need for explanation.

6a rule is a joke. Easy tool for refs to manage games.

The NRL entry into the USA and our Joe Kelly on the board of USA Rugby League likely pissed off the Vlandys and co. If the enemy can’t impact us on the field they certainly do off it. Lenui, Jennings as of late and coming down hard on Robbo.

Robbo won’t allow it,it’s not the Roosters way!

If you were watching the raiders game, I thought Schiller’s second try came from an offside missed by the bunker. The titans player knocks the ball back, it touches the back of the raiders player and goes into the hands of Schiller? who is in front. The bunker misses lots of things.

on the Collins challenge, it doesn’t matter that Collins had knocked on before he was hit high. That is a major breach - as is any foul play. The knock on is a minor breach. As a young ref you were always taught major over minor = penalty.

Yes, in the game today, "the Roosters Way" is not always the best way.

Your observation about the Schiller try is spot on. He was easily offside as the ball bounced through hands before he caught it.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

It’s not as if the 6a rule is brand new it’s been around now for a few seasons now, every other team has adjusted to the new style of play including strategically playing for penalties including staying down. Robbo has shown he is incapable in adjusting the team to these new paradigms, In the end all fans want is to watch their team win games and hopefully premierships.
