Our edges are an odd one atm

critchon - at his best one of the best backrowers in the comp. Has had very mixed form for years. If he gets backs to his best must be on the left edge, think he will start this week
with Gus with his inconsistent form shown as he played Origen every year between 2019 and 2022 with us but never played a whole series, either got dropped for game 3 or wasn’t selected with poor form but got in during the series
Wong - our most promising edge back rower, think he will get the starting spot back at some point and will finish the year on the right has size and runs great lines - still only 20

When everyone is back I think it will be Nat and sitili fighting for the bench spot next to Leniu and may!
Sitili offers some up tempo and bit hits while Nat is reliable
funny Nat was spoked about for Origen and tests last year
he is a great workhorse and a need for one of these guys on the 17 but never going to dominate games

I think in some instances he is not fully engaged and therefore not giving 100% controversial it might be.

Definitely more skilful than Martin but not a better player in my opinion just off the last couple seasons. Martin has been excellent in Origin aswell as club footy.

A top recruit who has yet to properly find his feet … I’m not absolving him of all responsibility … he needs more discipline … but equally shit coaching to not have him playing at his previous level

His previous level was exactly the same amount of minutes at Melbourne as he's playing now for us and for a very similar output.



Again you're just rewriting history to suit your narrative, hes always been a 50-55min per game player.

I think Robinson deserves criticism for Brandon Smith, but not for his inability to coach him but rather his decision to sign him on the back of 2021 that was an anomaly of a season.

I think Les T makes a fair point re the quality of our squad. Most commentators have got us right up there if not on top. Its only our own fans that rate us down, which is par for the course at most clubs. Our backline would be the best. Our front row rotation would be the best. We have strong depth at 9, and in our backrow. I'm looking at our squad minus injury or suspension in this case.

We fluctuated from 4th to 5th in the betting for the premiership going into the season. If you want a good understanding of public sentiment around the squad that's always a pretty good measure and probably about where I see our squad to be honest.

Holy Smoke....I checked the date, its not April Fools Day. I think King Salvo is still hurting over the punting of Hutch, a slightly bitter halves assessment.

Opinions are like armholes, but I wouldn't swap Kez for any other 6 in the comp.

As for Sam, comparing him with others on that halves list is silly. They all have more miles on the clock, he's still a work in progress. You have to develop players, esp playmakers and be patient. I'm not completely sold on him, but respect the judgement of greater minds within the club. He has plenty of talent.
