  • Cordner Shoulder Charge

Am I right in assuming that this was assessed by the match review committee and that they found nothing wrong with it? As Anasta said in the post-match media conference, Cordner went nowhere near his head - it was shoulder to shoulder.

And didn't the Warriors score on the back of the penalty that was awarded?

Has there been a public apology from the referee's director for his incompetent underlings making a dud decision that cost us the match?

    No? Why not?

Pretty sure Bronco Bill said during the week that the only issue he had with the refereeing was that BJ's try was awarded.

Unbelievable, i know, but after following the chooks for so long we really shouldn't be suprised.

      It's nothing new.

What will be the penalty count, and where will they be given, this weekend?

It was 3-8 against the Raiders over there...the Raiders lost.
Furner complained bitterly, and was fined $10,000.

Won't be long now til League is deserted by disillusioned fans.

AFL is coming over the hill...Wagga Wagga local council is giving GWS AFL new team in Western Sydney a $300,000 grant over 3 years. [ratepayers' money].

Feel free to correct me, anybody, if I am wrong here, but I have followed the roosters since 1971.

I have never, I mean NEVER, seen an apology to us or a demotion of a referee, linesman or video referee based on a single decision or overall performance in a game that was to the roosters detriment.

I think we should all be very grateful indeed that over the past 41 years we have been lucky enough never to have lost a game because of poor or biased refereeing.

I have seen many referee demotions and apologies over decisions that adversely affected many other clubs, and I genuinely feel sympathy for how the supporters, players and coaches of these clubs must feel to be on the arse end of dud/biased refs.

        We must just be lucky.

Im not sure but I think what had them thinking there was an illegal hit from Cordner was mainly due to the Warriors player ending up on his back.
But the video ref had plenty of time to look at it, but then to place him on report was a poor look for the game, they are not allowing the aggressive big hits.
The game has to maintain it's brutality.

Didn't a Vidiot get the arse just this season, for disallowing a Pezz try I'm sure, maybe against The Faiders??? I cant recall which incident there's been too many this season but I'm sure it's happened.

I remember back years ago a rule was changed when we lost a game when an opposition player dived over from dummy 1/2 using the player playing the ball as a Shepard. I'm sure it went to the Vidiot and he ruled it a try, Pingy was involved from memory as the blocked defender???

But these incidents are few and far between where we actually get retribution. Although after the event it means little.

I remember Mozz being sent off, in 05 maybe, against the Boggs. It was a rort and we still won a man down. He never even had to front the judiciary. It was Utai from memory and he got up smiling after Mozz was sent. It was a howler.

The worst was Bwaiff getting layed out by Farkendrongo. Then Jezza Smiff with the ball going at Bwaiff again and both times we were penalized, the You're off your head reff incident. The drongo got 7 wks from that low act, hit a bloke that wasn't looking. I am no Bwaiff fan by any means but that was a disgrace.

There was a similar one, on Fox recently, in 05 I think where Crock was binned and we were raped by the reffs. I think we lost by a point, their 1st win over us in like 10 years or something. That game was just a geeup.

There are many more. The 2010 GF I can't even mention again, I still burn.

            The FlogPen .

            You know it makes sense.

You cannot be serious! Harrigan said that was an incorrect decision? That it was NOT simultaneous grounding? That the Warriors player grounded it... what, a ten millionth of a nanosecond before BJ?

If this is true, then that is all the proof we will ever need of refereeing bias.

watching the replay on boyds contact, you can here the 2 refs having a different opinion on the contact. one said its alright and the other saying no no ive got. its on report. so they get a penality , a replacement and then a try. so what unfair about that.

and i thought only archer was incomperdent

That was against the Storm and yes the vidiot was dropped, both on-field referees from our match against the Faiders were dropped for one week also.

The penalty against Cordner was a disgraceful decision, the contact was upper chest.....the vidiot (like the two idiots on-field) were more interested in appeasing the crowd yet nothing said about it at all, good job Raper and Harrigan, muppets.

Incorrect referereeing decisions are sadly part of the game. No point in crying over spilt milk.

ha ha lol. No I dislike the decisions too but I just try not to dwell on them because it would drive me mad!! Couldn't believe BJ got the benefit of the doubt last week.

He didn't. The try was checked by the video ref and he ruled try with no BOTD required. You can rest assured, if there was any doubt, there'd be no benefit given to us.
