no mention on anything the refs did wrong..even takes the pi$$ by saying leilua's try was a wrong call...:@

This is probably the toughest call we have had all year. After looking at it many times in slow motion and all the different angles, we believe the decision to award a try was wrong. We don’t believe Leilua had possession of the ball, he did get his hand on the ball, but the Warriors’ player grounds it with his arm. We believe that it was the wrong call. It should have been a line dropout.
What's the difference of how you ground it WTF

      Wrote this on another thread.

Well Harrigan mentioned on Talkin' Sport tonight that they got the BJ try call wrong. It should have been called a NO TRY.
He said the Mini incident at the end probably should have been called up as soon as the ref saw him stumbling but because he already called it as an incorrect play the ball, he felt rather than give a penalty he called for a scrum out of empathy.
He said every other call in the game was correct and he was very happy with the refereeing.
And that my friends is why refereeing will not get better. The guy is more concerned about his own KPI's than admitting the refereeing has been crap all year.

Rugby league games are just too easy to fix the result. Too much discretion, no in or outs like in tennis, just "in my opinion that was a reasonabe play the ball, OR there was too much holding down.

Harrigan was the effnuckle that video-reffed the Dean young knock on try in the 2010 Gf when it was on the line, there was a clear view of a knock on that was viewed once before several views of inconclusive replays that were irrelevant. NRL is corrupt.

He was also the video ref when Gaz dropped the ball one metre from the line vs Manly that year. From memory he blamed the old TV in the box and then got sacked for one week. Just an honest human error.

So i take it we won't be seeing Cordner for a week or two considering the blatant high contact he made with Ropati that saw him taken from the field and given a free interchange.

"We're not doctors mate", Perenara's words when talking in the line with Cordner after the penalty. Nobody's asking you to be a doctor you f@&kin retard, we're only asking you to be a competent referee with no visual impairments. That was the worst of some very bad calls in the game and was the difference between winning and losing as it turned out. Braith had every right to go off his nut as he and Cordner were called over. Good thing he doesn't actually give a shit about this team anymore otherwise he would have been sent and given a life ban for putting one on that incompetent mug Lyons' chin. The Maloney no knock-on that defied the laws of physics was a close second.

Rather embarrassing that's what the referees consider the most contentious ruling from that match, it was simultaneous grounding - benefit goes to the attacking side you dope Raper. How about explaining how your referees lost complete control of the match the final 2 minutes including calling full-time 15 seconds before the siren went off ya useless ****wit.

Are the refs to blame for Shaun Johnson running thru the entire team to score the softest try of the decade. Plain and simple the Roosters cannot defend when the blow torch is applied.

since when do you need to be in possession to score a try? Last I heard out of Harrigan you didn't even need to have control!

Neither player had possession, both had hands on it when it touched the ground. Its the very definition of simultaneous grounding.

From the idiots that were only too happy to award Barba's try last year I find these reviews a bit rich

NRL.com aren't going to report on refereeing controversies. It's not in their interests.

Harrigan has always been pretty arrogant. In my view he's a poor choice for that job because his ego gets in the way.

Having said that, there was a time in his career when he was famous for blowing the least penalties in the game. He let the game flow. Sadly, those days are lost. The amount of penalties these days is absurd. There's no rhythm. Just constant whistle. Two refs have a lot to answer for. That and all the wrestling in the ruck. It's penalty central.

He was also the best at playing advantage. But alas, he can't seem to impart his experience or the current crop of refs are illiterate morons, either way he has to go as refs boss.

                        Chook.

I expected Harrigan to wind back all the flawed systems Finch brought in but it's been more of the same unfortunately, referees need to go back to basics and stop being game managers. The only words we should hear the referee calling out are held and the tackle number, enough with the yelling out of DOMINANT, SURRENDER, GET ONSIDE, GET OFF, GET YOUR HEAD IN, JAKE!, etc etc etc rubbish, if a player or team is blatantly cheating penalise them until they learn, otherwise let the players do their stuff and just shut the hell up and let the players work out who the better team on the day is. The latest gem the referees have been calling out is OFFLOAD, this one is a disgrace and the ARLC should clamp down on it immediately, it's literally an assistance for any defensive player that doesn't happen to be watching the play at the time.

Sometimes I honestly think that referees watch the game with a different state of mind every week.

I remember in one game last year, not sure which one, every time we had the ball the opposition were lucky to be back 8 metres if not less.

They left the line slower which meant that the ref was not picking up on it. I was at the game and the fans were booing like crazy, but we ended up loosing the penalty count some how.

Many Wayne Bennett teams for years have played against the ref rather than against the opposition. Every year after Bennett wins the grandfinal , the very next day in the newspaper there is a 2 page segment which Highlights the errors in the grandfinal.I bought the telecrap in 06 and saw the bias, however not in 10', i was too heartbroken.
