    Why not? If a reporter asks him a question, why is he not allowed to answer it? It's his opinion, he should be entitled to it, and he should be allowed to express it as well

      Because as this thread demonstrates it is divisive. And anything that is divisive amongst any of the stakeholders in the club is counter productive to what we want too achieve as a club on the footy field. Look at what happened to Manly with the gay jersey fiasco pure carnage.

        If he was answering as Trent Robinson, Aust citizen and individual it would be fine. But they are interviewing him as a very Senior representative of the club. So better to play the diplomatic non-committal route on social issues. He can't possibly speak on behalf of everyone on such matters. See Rcptn's post above which illustrates.

          coaches shouldn't make political comments and robbo doesn't. i wouldn't know who he votes for.
          ironic that the ones on here complaining about him are often throwing in gratuitous political comments in the footy section. for every one comment that robbo has made that, if you're hypersensitive could have some political dimension, those jokers would have offered literally more than a hundred
