He hasn't had a petition out for him to be re-signed yet.Originally posted by Rocky Rhodes View PostAbout time some of you gurus have woken up, me and funky chicken and only a few others worked him out 4-5 yrs old. Perrett is the biggest protected species ever in rooster forum history.
With SKD a close third. Mini has gone down a couple places over the last few weeks.Originally posted by Rocky Rhodes View PostIMO the weakest link after Ana$ta.

Mate the forwards are taking the next step time for the backline to do the same.... I dont hate him either but he doesnt have more to give thats pretty much it. He is a one trick pony been saying it for yrs....... Dummy half runs dont impress me.Originally posted by Rocky Rhodes View PostIt's not that i hate the bloke, i just want what's best for the teams success." A man can only walk as far as he can see"

Whose reports are they?Originally posted by Roosterfarian View PostI can't believe there hasnt been anything written up about him.
He is a bumbling fool on the wing who offers NOTHING! Constantly beaten in the air.
It's time to go Sammy..from all reports he's been told to look elsewhere.
Replace him with Glover next week. Take that poor excuse for a 5/8th with you.
I hope they are true.Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.

This is the first Ive heard of this as well however it would make sense - surely he would have been re-signed by now considering his length of service to the club, the fact that he is not a massive money player, the fact that we have plenty of room under the cap and the fact that he does not want to leave/go on the open market.Originally posted by Vasco View PostWhose reports are they?

He is a good player and pretty valuable but my issue with him as a winger (which is where he will always play with us with RTS coming through) is that its ok to not be a flyer if you are a powerhouse (vatuvei) and its alright to be small if you have blistering pace and are a good finisher (Morris, Gordon). unfortunately sammy doesnt really tick any of these boxes. It would be sad to see him go but imo it would very much be a case of 1 step backwards and 2 steps forward.
I also might add that letting him go could allow us to sign a real strike weapon out wide considering sammy would be on a salary somewhere between 200 and 300k and we have a bit of room under the cap to boot. Having someone like morris, gordon or uate outside SKD and maubs would be electrifying particularly considering we've seemingly found ourselves the perfectly balanced left edge (11. Guerra 3. Moga 2. Tagive)

They may be waiting for further clarrification on the long serving player allowances which are expected to be increased. It has been mentioned previously they could be increased quite substantially. Would make sense to keep Perrett within the squad if this were the case. There is no doubting he is a quality player and role model, it's just that he doesn't have the strike power to be considered a walkup start.Originally posted by roz View PostThis is the first Ive heard of this as well however it would make sense - surely he would have been re-signed by now considering his length of service to the club, the fact that he is not a massive money player, the fact that we have plenty of room under the cap and the fact that he does not want to leave/go on the open market.

If Sam goes then our forwards are gonna have to get a helluva lot fitter. Sam is doing their dirty work in every set of six by taking the first hit-up of every six.
Whilst ever SKD is centre then Sam has his wing spot locked down. It's obvious how much SKD and Sam are great mates and love playing alongside one another.
If you want a fast, tall winger then Tagive, Moga and BJ are going to have to fight it out for the other spot.
ps - Don't forget about injuries. One of our wingers/centres is likely to be injured at any week. It's good to have to depth...even J Carney!

And as much as some don't like the Untall Cannonball, he is quick out of dummy half & makes good yardage.Originally posted by Gary Worthless View PostIf Sam goes then our forwards are gonna have to get a helluva lot fitter.
