Pre season week 3 - 17 taking shape?

looking at the training pics from today it looks like some questions from the main 17 might be getting answered
Looks like the main 13 or 17 are in white and res grade squad in blue
1. suaali is in blue so guessing smith won the race to left centre thank god
he will be an expensive reserve grader. Look for his management to find a new home for him early in 2024 if so in rugby or league
2. Watson and s smith in blue but s smith running with the main team towards the end
3. Egan butch and Whyte in res grade which was expected and Terrell may as well so maybe between Wong, Gus, Nat butch and sitili these guys will fill the 2nd row and 2 other forward bench spots alongside Leniu and May not in the 17
Wong on right edge and critchon left
may is having a run towards the end though

If accurate; May, Sandon, Whyte, Egan, Suaalii in reserves is insane depth.

Personally, I wouldn’t be suprised to see Watson in reserves for a month and sandon in firsts due to missing all 2023

Pre season hype is just hype as evident of the last few season.s.Yeah yeah we are training well and having a good pre season the usual spin then later into the season it’s the opposite. Hopefully that is no longer the case.

Why would you pick Suaalii at Centre, If last season was any indication he is hopeless in that position. Wing or bust for Saalii.

It’s a very strong top 22 man squad
most of the 22 will play more nrl then res grade with injuries / suspensions and Origen etc in 2024 anyway but certainly some good selections headaches for coaches
will keep players honest each week as well
