A dream team is what it is I can’t find a weakness in it even the bench players and a couple who will play a fair bit of Reggie’s this year will walk into just about every side in the nrl players like Angus Billy Watson suallaii Wong May are all fighting for a sspot in the run on side stilli and butcher as well there’s no excuses this year it’s as strong a roster as I have seen for many a year

Main weakness I see is an organising half and no big boot.

Saw JWH at Bondi on Saturday with his kids. He looks very fit. As far as I know he needs to be picked for Maori all stars to complete his suspension. I dont think trials count. So he should be able to start Rd 1 or 2. He looks fit enough for run on team. Team photos show Sitili doing heavy contact at training. Toia might be the only player unavailable. Billy Smith is on a one year extension. He wont want to spend this year in Cup. Tupou and Young would be our best wingers and Manu and Smith the best centres on last years form. Suaalii's best attack is catching bombs in the corner. You would think Holbrook would open the attack up from further out so Suaalii would have to improve his running game and make some breaks to threaten the other four. I cant predict the bench. Gus, Sitili, Nat Butcher and Wong should all get picked in the 17 and I would like to see Whyte. I would prefer Sandon Smith to Connor Watson.

I think we'll improve on last year, but still concerned about our lack of a strong kicker in general play, how our halves will go, and how good a goal-kicker Sammy will be if Smith is in the centres ahead of Suaalii (as he should be!).

I reckon we'll be pretty strong in reserve grade. Provided half of them aren't filling in firsts due to 45 injuries.
