  • He can't even kick goals now

    Braith lost us the match

it is worrying that Braith is missing so many. If you consider most goalkickers take part in the game as well, kicking becomes as much about battling fatigue as hitting it sweet. Braith is like an NFL goalkicker. That is all he does. And he can't even do that.

It's laughable how so many of you have such selective memories. Braith was kicking quite solidly before saturday night kicking at 84%(21/25). He might've had a really bad night on saturday but he's been doing a fine job for us so far considering he's no even supposed to be a goal kicker for the club. Every kicker has a bad night, don't kid yourselves

I'm not going to bag him for his poor goalkicking on Saturday. Even the best of them can have an off day - look at Parker from the Broncos. I was more disgusted with his lack of on field effort. I've alwasys supported the bloke but really! Is he injured? I know he's been told to take a backseat to Pearce, but like I've said before there's taking a backseat and then there's missing the ride altogether!

Maybe it's not Smith that makes that decision about Braith being punted to reggies.

              Dangerous precedent.

I understand that every kicker has bad nights BUT he did miss some very easy kicks. If they had been sideline ones, you could understand.
Bye the way Stephen, where is Phamtom these days?

                  Get Maloney here now.

                  Can't come soon enough.

I am a Braith fan. But either Smith or Politis needs to put him in the back row. Pathetic defense cost the Roosters again, just like it did against the Dragons.

Plus we have really poor centres.

Braith is actually a very good goal kicker, with a success rate around 80% over his career (about the same as fitzy). He just looks awkward striking them so people have the impression he sucks.

Kind of like Mini under the high ball. Always looks shaky, but rarely if ever spills one.
