In lead-up to the commencement of the Sydney Roosters 2024 NRL pre-season, the club’s playing roster has been confirmed. It features a number of established Sydney Roosters players as well as some key additions with NRL experience and a number of development players, including members of the Sydney Roosters Academy.

26 of the 30 top squad positions have been filled, leaving up to four spots vacant if they are to be filled

Sandon Smith was upgraded from a development contract to a top 30 squad contract.

5 of the 6 development players announced leaving 1 spot vacant.

Surprised that Lewis Murphy is on a development Contract.

It was reported that Michael Jennings maybe signed to a train and trial contract.

Obviously, they will have a list of extended bench players training with Top 30 and Development Contract Squad players, so it will be interesting to see who these players are when pre-season training commences next week.

seems we are short another outside back, 4th half, and maybe 1-2 res front rowers
with suaali, sandon smith, Murphy, Egan butch, Whyte and one of Nat butch/ sitili or critchon not in the main 17 if everyone there we certainly have some depth and guys pushing for positions on the main 17 to keep players honest each week
