Yeah this is really odd to me. Surely just re-sign Turpin instead, I rate him higher than Paix and he is already familiar with the club. Sometimes we get a bit too cute when it comes to recruiting.

I think it is a good get, I'm assuming that because he has been told he can go the Broncos will kick in a good portion of his contract.

Getting an experienced back up hooker for close to minimum wage is great planning. Moriarty might be the long term solution, but if Smith went down we haven't got much experience.

Turpin had played 60 games when he arrived and Paix has 44 so they are very similar

Corey Paix could be a pen favourite of some if signed, as he has a 98% tackle efficiency rate.

Paix signed a 2-year, $300,000-a-season extension earlier this year, so maybe, as mentioned, the Broncos may chip in some of the cost.

I presume we may look at him if Watson doesn’t re sign but sounds like he will, so if Watson does I can’t see us going after paix

he is signed for 2 years so if we did take him we would be paying minimal with the broncos paying part of his salary

would Prefer to head May and Wong have re signed for 2025 and beyond moriarty and bevan Are also back up options so think we are covered here
