Penrith are like a machine and will be extremely hard to beat, and I think they have extra gears in them.
People bang on about how arrogant and cocky they are, but when you play like they do week in and week out, then you earn that right.
Only one team has a positive record vs. Penrith from 2020 to now, which is Parramatta, who have a 5–4 record, although two of those losses were in final matches—week 1 final match and the GF in 2022.
If other teams don't like it, then they need to play a lot better when playing them.
IMO over-celebration is a cultural thing. People are allowed to do it but it's cringeworthy when (for example) an already beaten team does a clumsy knock-on with 5 to go and the premiership favourites start climbing on each other, screaming 'wooohooooooo' and doing an all out celebration as if they've won the premiership.
We also won two premierships in a row and have a better record than Penrith but for the past few seasons. As an Easts fan, I dare say that Nick and Robbo would give our players a flogging if we were doing that sorta shyte. Winners are grinners but I support Easts because I think we have a little more class than that.
Penrith came good at a really odd time of fear and uncertainty (where a lot of teams just weren't up for it). I predict that Brisbane will beat Penrith this year and Penrith won't be all that dominant next year. A lot of players are coming off contracts they signed before Penrith came good. The cycle of boom and bust will continue.
Penalty to Panthers.

Six again to Panfhers..."ruck infringement".

Penrith have had a fantastic injury free run the last few seasons. You can’t win comps unless you do. When Lui went down they made such a big deal about it yet he’s back and fine 3 weeks later. I wish our injuries were as good as theirs. Panthers are a great side but luck with injures has really helped. If we had our full side in we would give them a run for their money.
We will never beat Penrith unless we change our style of play.
They are like Novak Djokovic. A machine that wears you down with a very low error rate; waiting for you to beat yourself.
We however play a very high risk style of footy which totally plays into Penrith's hands. They just grind us and wait for the inevitable dropsies.
Either Robbo adapts or we continue to get hammered by Penrith.
Robbo shouldn't have to adapt, the Panthers should adapt to rule changes that kybosh their dominance like the Broncos, Storm and Roosters have gotten in the past.
Djokovic is a good analogy. Nobody likes him either and has largely reduced the enjoyment of mens tennis because of it. Not because he is good, because he is boring and uninspiring.

Say it how it is, some time in the last 5-6 years the Pacific Islanders, particularly from Western Syd like to cosplay as NFL running backs and defensive lineman and think they're African American. They aren't, that's not our culture and it's cringe. Dropping the ball uncontested is not the same as a DT sacking an attacking player. There is nothing humble about this side, they are not champions, they benefit from a 6 again rule that has been the scourge of the sport. We have fallen over with injuries, Melbourne's best player has been injured, Penrith have had no injuries during this time. Luckiest team I've seen and sadly there is no end in sight.
What Penrith get out of there back 3 on the start of each set is what gives them their edge over the rest of the comp. There is nowhere safe to kick the ball and it's almost impossible to pin them in a corner .
Its nothing flash, everthing is done with heaps of energy and urgency.
They are a great side and they really do look like they are having fun.
To beat Penrith you have to match their energy and commitment and find the side line as much as possible with your kicks .
I might be in the minority but I HATE Penriff. Almost as much as Souffs.
This current arrogant crop are destroying the game of rugby league and turning it into a touch footy hybrid.
Can somebody name me a more protected player both on the field and by the media than Nathan Cleary? Insanely overhyped it's not funny.
You could argue Latrell but there was the time he was a Rooster and copped it from the media every week.
I don't really like the panthers either , but if ypu think nathan cleary is overhyped I don't know what to say to you . his game is near perfect , kicking, defence, effort, passing and his running game is undervalued , the try he scored against the warriors was evidence .
Panthers are a good team...with help in *every* game of the truck loads of penalties and 6 again for not much, that arrive.
The 'golden child' is 'untouchable', try it and see what happens.
Crichton ran thru and took player/s out, and in the process stopped defenders getting to golden child, so he got a pass away.
Panthers win because the other teams are hopeless, useless if you like.
They can't tackle, can't pass the ball along their backlines without mistakes.
Can't even play the ball properly without making mistakes.
Their wingers *never* stay on their wings in defence, Dom Young included.
Do you see the Panthers giving away dumb penalties for high tackles or shoving the man playing the ball like Brandon Smith does.
Other teams are hopeless, that's why the Panthers win.

freak of a player .
How many times does he get hit late or targeted in defence? How many times can he step 3 players and score on his own? What has he done in Origin?
All the greats he is supposedly on par with him, had all those 3 things. He isn't even remotely close to the greats. Systems player.
