Even if Gus goes we still have butcher x 2, sitili, radley, Wong and Whyte so not a position we need to look externally
alltough we will have some money of critchon and suaali go this year or next, jwh , Keary and tupou retire next season

Nat Butcher, who has come up through our system, has just been called up to the extended Kangaroos squad....we don't need an over-priced Souffs player. But sure, if it results in the Evil Empire of Myths & Lies having to pay more for him...

Not at $900K..... no way is he worth more than $600.
        Goes missing to much.
Great front runner, but not when the heat is on.

          No thanks. Lazy, overpriced.

Weapon in attack on his day but doesn't do it enough. Add in the fact its for 900k and the fact we have Wong, Butch and Sitili to play those positions. Sitili can't defend but neither can this bloke. What's the point?

Get a 5/8 or a long term Teddy replacement with the Angus and JWH coin. Keep in mind we need to uprade May and Wong aswell.

Buying this guy for 900k is a Bulldogs/Tigers move. Let someone like that do it.

The whole Souths squad were in disarray to end the season.. I wouldn't read too much into that. I don't think Kaloamatangi would be competing for a spot with any of the players you just mentioned, I think he would play left edge in replace of Angus Crichton.

Lazy? He averaged 110 running metres per game (more than any forward in our squad) and 28 tackles a game which would rank him 5th amongst our forwards.

                A big yes from me.

More importantly, what 6 will we target for when Keary finishes up ? ...and please dont say Sandon Smith and Walker will be our halves. A small 6 and 7 with shithouse long kicking games, doesn't work now and won't work in the future

We will need to pay $1 mill plus for a quality ready to go 6 when Keary retires.

Prefer the backrowers we already have. Even if Crichton goes, we still have Nat, Sitili & Wong.

Not against the play though if it means making Souths pay up to re-sign. Genius play. Make them use more of their salary.

                        $900k

I don’t see any value in that figure.

The current salary cap is $12.1 million and could potentially increase as high as $14 million come 2025.

$900k in 2025 will be more or less like paying $700k for a player this season.

Tackle stats are always deceptive. I'm sure plenty of 3rd man in or non dominant in his 28 tackles.

110m a game for someone on 900k is laughable. He is a good player but not a Roosters type player, especially for that price.
