  • I don't know any Melbourne fans.

And it's lucky I don't, because if any of them ever called me, texted me or spoke to me being happy about them beating us I would rip their heads off.
I am disgusted that a multi million dollar sport can have such amateur officials.
I've seen us robbed before, the most famous one was the 1972 Grand Final......
The scoreboard says Manly won 19 to 14, but they were awarded two very doubtful tries and the Roosters had 2 definite tries disallowed.
We won that game but were robbed by a crook ref Keith Page.
Nothing has changed in over 50 years.

Yes, I encourage any Rooster fan who wants to be outraged to watch the 1972 Grand Final! What a debacle!

As far as I'm concerned, 2010 against the Dragons was close behind. Errors by officials caused a 12 to 18 point turnaround in the first half which forced the Roosters to play catch-up football in driving rain. People who point to the final score don't appreciate that.

Then there's Hazem El Mazri's try after being tackled in 2004. Was very close to that and couldn't believe he wasn't penalised.

And look, I don't think there's too many of us here who were confident of winning the GF this year, but we deserved that place in the Qualifying Final next week! It was a gut-wrenching loss!

It’s funny you mention manly, my mates always go on about how they were robbed against the dogs with a try on the 7th tackle and then a forward pass in 95 , the stomping of Toovey by the knights in 97, and the forward pass against us in 13.

then the raiders fans with the 6 again call.

I think it happens to all teams in some way.

They couldn't even crack 20k for an elimination final.

The Mexican experiment is over. Kick em outta the comp.

The 100,000 at the MCG probably had a bit to do with that, unfortunate timing.

All true, and all such bloody annoying memories.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

I was pissed off we aren’t given the opportunity to take on Panthers. They struggle against players like Walker that play what they see.

im more pissed off that I had $25 on Roosters by 1 point paying $2000

El Maseri’s try was embarrassing. Held up for at least 1 minute. I agree in the 2010 game, absolute Easts try disallowed just before half time.

Or better still, relocate the Vermin down there and they can merge ,,, the Melbourne Vermin actually has a nice ring to it!!

I get what you’re saying, but the 6 again gripe is the biggest piece of BS I have ever heard. He corrected his incorrect call. Imagine if he didn’t? That would’ve been so much worse. OR imagine if he just made a blatant incorrect call that cost you a game like Klein last weekend.

There were so many dodgy calls in that game and not one of them went our way. There was the foot over the sideline debacle, then Sam Perrett gets tackled before the ball arrives and its ruled a knock on. Mini is taken out trying to cacth a pass but that's play on. It was one of the most one sided refereeing displays I've seen in a big game, only bettered by the mongrel that reffed my Cowra team in the 2018 Group 10 GF
