  • All the Pressure is on Storm

Everyone in the media is saying Storm never play 2 bad matches in a row.

Everyone outside the club is saying we've been brave but Storm will be too far a step.

Everyone in Melbourne is expecting a win and a big win.

All the pressure is in the storm to perform.

One thing I've liked about is the last few weeks is thar we've flown under the radar and barely made headlines which I think has helped.

Time to surprise everyone outside the club and get the job done in Melbourne.

Cheese first try scorer, Tedesco anytime tryscorer and Radley M.O.T.M

IMO we won't have the strike power in our backline (and Olam's back for the Drizz), so the pressure will be on our forwards to stand up. Doable... wouldn't put my house on it but it's doable...

I agree with your statement about our backline but I think regardless we're going to have to win it through the middle.

If our forwards can lay the platform I think it's going to be a lot of Tedesco through the middle of a lot of Sam Walker running. Fingers crossed we can do the job and get behind the boys regardless of the result

Olam is on the outer and been running around in reggies.
No problem there. Thats why Id like to Angus opposite him.

Play like we have for the last 7 weeks, and we will be ok.

If the team we have named starts then we are an even money chance of jagging a win.
Certainly worth a flutter at $3.78 for $1 even start
and great value at $1.90 for $1 with 10.5 pts start
Remember Canberra were considered no chance by most against the Knights, and nearly pulled it off.
The Storm are struggling, we are going much better than when we last played them and lost 30 to 16 in round 20.
Coates scored 3 tries, one intercept when we were attacking their line, and one from a lucky kick.
            we had no Teddy
            so Joey was Fullback
and Suaalii was still playing centre,
Sandon was playing his 4th game as starting halfback
            Brown was Lock,
Turpin started at hooker with Cheese on the bench
and Radley in the 2nd row.
It was only Wongs 2nd game,
and Whyte was on the bench
            we had no Angus.
we missed 54 tackles and made 14 errors.
We are much better now, even though we are missing players.
I reckon we can give this a bloody good shake.

I agree - through the middle. Last tackle options should be high kicks to the middle as well. Without Toops and Suallii, we're no chance of regathering the ball or getting a 6 again call.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Absolutely. We can take a leaf out of Ricky Stuart's "everyone is against us" and "nobody rates our chances" seige mentality approach. It has worked for large parts of his Canberra career.

Difference is that we actually get dudded on a regular basis and nearly everyone who isn't a Roosters fan, hates our club. You are right though R89, nobody gives us a chance and Storm are expected to "bounce back". Can't under-estimate how poor Melbourne were last week and what effect that will have on their psyche going into this game. Anything other than a win will put some of their players under pressure. Obviously, Bellamy won't feel any pressure (and rightfully so with his track record), but Munster, Hughes and Grant are all expected to perform. Some of their forwards have been underwhelming aswell and will face a lot of criticism if they don't get the job done.

I smell a Momo masterclass similar to when he replaced latrell vs south’s in 2018.

Lindsay is worth more than NAS and their others combined.

After the weekends miracle I think we got one more in us

they'll come out strong and if we don't get blown away in the first 20 the pressure will mount on them

Let them come out strong. Their form is poor! The harder they push, the higher the error count and penalties conceded. We won't be playing them back into form. I'm certain of that!

The Broncos are either clear completion favourites based on last weeks game or the Storm have checked out for the season.

                            Roosters 13 plus.
