His tactical decisions as a coach, fair game given the season we have had but everything about that win last night is exactly what I want to see from the club I support.

Robbo has this team humming with never day die attitude.
Guts, heart and passion.
99% of neutral oberservers would tell you at the 55 min mark that we were toast. Gone. No chance.
Not this lot.
This is a win for the true believers. Those who have faith in our great club, and the great characters like Uncle Nick and Robbo who lead it.
Lots of egg on the faces of Ray and his ilk. I'd like to see something positive from them, but not holding my breath.
Robbo will get a pat on the back next week when we beat the Storm… that will be par for the course… beat Penrith and make the GF after that then he will have done his job to a very good level
All this talk about people having eggs on their face for criticising the coach this year? Well he’s had egg all over his face since Round 1… just look at Walker last night… why the f*ck would anyone ever drop him but still play Hutchinson in the side?
Show some dignity… having to play sudden death football five weeks out from the finals with the best list in league is nothing to applaud… getting the side to where it should be will earn the plaudits

At full strength we are equal to both Brisbane and Penrith when it comes to team lists,no question..

How many of our players would make the Panthers or Broncos teams based on current form?

I know you used the Penrith example, but that was a one-off game scenario where they had the best possible 17 players missing, not blocks of games these players were missing for. - i,e 5 games or more
Sam Walker was relegated for a reason that was fair enough, and it was not going to be long-term; the injury wasn't factored in, of course.
There was nothing wrong with the Hutchinator at all, as he showed in the 4 games they won when he was playing 7 with at least one POTM performance. - He should get some credit for that 5-game winning streak, just as he should for 2021 with the team making the finals in another injury-ridden season.
VS Sharks they were without 4 or 5 possible best 17 players in JWH/Watson/Toops/Sitili/ Momirovski
VS Storm they will be without 6 or 7 possible best 17 players in JWH/Watson/Toops/Sitili/ Momirovski/Manu/Suaalii
All adding to the number of games missed by the best possible 17 players throughout the season.
How would this so-called best list in your mind still be this if a host of them had been unavailable for blocks of games during the season?
Not much has been made of this, but Sandon Smith's pass to Sam Walker for the field goal was bullet-like and gave Walker the extra time required to kick it. - Compare that pass to the two Sharks dummy half passes to Hynes that were charged down.

Just because they have 5 and 6 Origin players respectively doesn’t automatically make their team list better..
We have just as many rep players as the rest of them,be it state or country current or past..
Also we aren’t basing this on current form, your initial comment was based on best team lists in the league which you indicated wasn’t even close..
That’s totally incorrect in my opinion..Last edited by Lydon; 09-10-2023, 05:24 PM.
