Our young forwards have really stepped up! Him in particular, and what about that play to regain possession after the charge-down! We SO needed that!

He probably hasn't played enough to be considered rookie of the year but I wouldn't swap him for anyone.

Has an immaculate physique and looks very balanced in his run and movement as well.
Don't too often see forwards have to play in the centres for long periods of time and do themselves proud. Against a pretty dangerous backline, too.

Who knows what he could be with 50 games under his belt.

His instant impact as an edge backrower rekindles memories of a young SBW in 2004.

An absolutely immense physical specimen but also a pure footy player with skill. The rarest of forwards. How long is he under contract for?

Crichton has been awesome the past two weeks but given his wage you can't help but think the club won't be too upset to see him leave given the emergence of Wong who is now a priority.

                    NRL

The Sydney Roosters have stepped up their form at the right time of year but they will need to get a wriggle on once their premiership campaign is over as they look to tie down more than $5 million worth of talent before the market officially opens on November 1.

The group of players heading into the final year of their deals is headlined by centre Joey Manu and five-eighth Luke Keary, two loyal servants who have been at the heart of their late-season charge into the finals.

According to the NRL website, hooker Brandon Smith also has a player option in his contract which means he is able to sign with a rival club on November 1 for the 2025 season.

NSW and Australian back rower Angus Crichton and his back row partner Nat Butcher are also able to sign elsewhere along with emerging stars Siua Wong, Naufau Whyte and Terrell May.

Unless you went to school where Chris Dawson was a teacher, you had nothing to worry about. But then I was at Waverley when Irena Hatfield worked there so awks to that.

Keary will retire imo, or perhaps a year or so in the UK.

Manu is a must keep. Teddy is still really solid, but his pace has dropped off quite a lot. Give Suallii is moving to Rugby, we need to tie up Manu at all costs to ensure we've got a top class replacement at fullback in the wings.

If Smith keeps up his current form then he is a top 3 rake in the game. Must keep.

                        Ditto Wong

I get the sense Crichton wants to move on. I'm sure he has his reasons. And he is expensive for what he offers imo.

Butcher I like, but for the right price. He brings leadership qualities and maturity that are really important to have in the squad. And he is quite a good player, just not a superstar.

I’m not surprised. Biggest turncoat in the commentary boxes.

Retaining our developing players is what we do.
Angus had an inspiring game and he lifted our attack in the 2nd half. Welcome back.
Remember that players come here for less.
