If it’s the same leg as the knee injury then that complicates it & it could be career ending.

So sad, he's one guy that even though he plays for a club that's mostly disliked ...he's one player that it's impossible to dislike. What is it with the name "Pap" and horrific injury luck. You'd have to say the two unluckiest league players when it comes to injuries Papenhuyzen and Papworth !

All four teams have beaten us this year. Storm and Panthers are far and away the two best teams since 2020.

The other thing running against us is we haven't beaten any of the teams currently in the top 8 since Knights back in Rd 16 (when they were 14th). Prior to that was our two wins over the Warriors.

          0-2 v Penrith
          0-1 v Broncos
          0-2 v Storm
          0-1 v Raiders
          0-1 v Sharks

In hindsight we had a soft run home. On paper it was tough but Souths, Manly and Eels were all flailing by the time we got to them and they missed the finals.

If we are going to go deep in these finals, we have the chance to right some of the wrongs of this season, with a vengeance.

          Up the Chooks!
Regarding the Shatks and Faiders losses, yes we played poorly, but they were both very winnable games, with very questionable ref/bunker decisions costing us.

The Manly, Parra and Scum games were virtually elimination games for us and them. Those wins kept us alive and ended the season for them. Sharks away shouldn't be taken lightly but we have the experience and have been playing for our lives for 5 weeks now.

Hate seeing players get terrible injuries. Put a line through the Storm though. They are done.

Well he has all off season to recover which means that he still may be ok for next season. Although it’s a blow I still think the storm can win its next match but not reach the GF. I think this year it’s Brisbane or Penrith.

Storm are used to no Papa. Sure he’s a weapon but him being out won’t affect them too much. They managed to get to third on the table without him.

We have to beat the Sharks.

Storm are there for the taking.
The only problem is, they won’t play another game like that this final series. Bellamy won’t let that happen.

Paps is not a loss for them as they have got where they are without him anyway.

If we meet them next week, we will have to outplay them as they won’t beat themselves like they did last night.

Can't write off the Storm just yet.We got thrashed by Parra in week 1 of the 2000 finals. We ended up making the GF.

They've had the wood over us in recent times.

I don't know why so many are writing the Storm off with Pap out long term, he only played a handful of games this season and the Storm still finished 4.
Beat Cronulla and we should be able to beat Melbourne too, it won't be an easy game but its winnable.

Penrith and Brisbane might be a different story.
All goes to plan we will meet Brisbane in the grand final, I don't see us beating both Penrith and Brisbane to be premiers.
