Unless we have a genuine good fullback to fill in, Mini is what we have. All this talk about Dugan in the past and now Stewart or who ever else is nonsense unless they want to accept our offer. I think Mini plays to what ever Smith has him involved in. I am sure that a new coach, like a Bellamy(were he to be our coach one day) would see Mini in a different role. I know he doesn't make as many breaks as he used to but that Anzac game we saw some of his old skills back.

I'm really happy about this news. I would hate to see Anthony go do a token year at another club like Wests. I would much rather he finished with us and then went overseas, which is the plan, according to his wife in an interview she gave just last week.

as much as I love Mini for what he HAS done for this club, our stupid club has fallen for the old 3 card trick again, Mini pulls out a few reasonable games, not outstanding by any comparison to other top fullbacks in the NRL and we hand him a new contract.

same old crap from this club, Mini just doesn't have the tools of a modern NRL fullback.

So what is the option or replacement??? dont just rubbish the guy thats easy tell us what the plan is/should be?

Whats disappointing is the attitudes like this from so called loyal rooster fans towards a club legend who has given his all to the club over many many years.

Mini has been in great form this year and has really earned this contract. Whats more wont take up much cap space due to the long service exemption.

But back on topic, I'm glad he's re-signed for a year, maybe next year we'll send him off with the grand final victory dream.

Mini's:
- Injury free.
- Playing some good footy.
- Showing lots of passion.
- He basically doesn't even count towards our salary cap.
- I reckon still one of the top 10 FBs in the game which is pretty good to have when there's only 16 teams (sure Slater, Dugan, Stewart, Boyd and Hayne are better... sometimes... but so what? Coote, Locke, Zillman, Barba... any other FBs and you're REALLY scraping the barrel!)
