I actually think there are signs that Mini is finally over the injuries that absolutely hammered him for those years. I mean we all say it takes a year or two to get over a knee reco and what Mini had was much worse than that. Good signing IMO

        Willie Mason ‏ @mase21

Congratulations to mini resigning and finishing his career at the roosters! Well deserved! Legend player and a better person well done bra
I had to laugh at Bennett last week when asked about Willie being on the sideline with an icepack on his leg, Bennett said that Willie just saw some of the other blokes being iced & thought he'd put an icepack on too. He was also asked how he thought Willie played, he replied that Willie will tell him how he played.

Great news - only Slater is in better form of the fullbacks in the NRL.

            Easts modern day legend.

A lot of those runs really make no impact at all.. He is far too involved in the attack for my liking because his playmaking skills are virtually non-existant. Most metres means not a lot if they don't end in any sort of result.

Mini just doesn't have the tools of a modern NRL fullback.[/QUOTE]

Great comment, who would want a solid safe fullback and guardian at the back that is safe under high ball, has great positional play, has great support play, currently is sitting second for most hit ups in 2012, good club man, gee I dont know what we were thinking retaining him for one more year.

                  Congrats Mini.
You were told to earn a new contract, and you went out there and did just that.
Anasta was given the same message, but instead he went to the classified ads.

When I look at it in Hindsight, I reckon its a good signing if we use him wisely.

He wouldn't had demanded more than about 200k and even depth signings like mortimer and mitchell cost around that much these days.

If Smith uses him in a limited capacity, on the wing or occasional fullback and starts with guys like RTS and Moga, then it may be a masterstroke by uncle nick.

However if he persists with him, like he has done with Anasta and pisses off the youngsters then that's when the signing may hurt us.

good on you Mini - you deserve to go out on a high after we win the premiership next year.
There's a reason why the young and idealistic become the old and cynical.
                      It's called experience.

It is becoming clear that the club is looking to invest in youth and our prospects for fullback are all too young and raw and are not ready. if we were to sign another fullback for a 3 yr deal it puts in jeopardy the future of the likes of RTS at the club not to mention that there is not too much out there and would cost big $$$.
If RTS progresses quicker than expected mini can always play wing.

Mini's re-signing is a good move by the club, he is still showing solid form and it shows the younger players in the club that the club rewards loyalty and not cast off after 30. Anasta did not trust his form and grabbed his first option instead of waiting like Mini has done. I don't blame Anasta he has to look after himself.

Good On Ya Mini and forget all the negative views from some so called 'loyal Roosters Fans'. Good to see loyalty from a player.

Really disappointed with this, it certainly doesn't address our lack of creativity in the spine.

2 linebreaks all season from our fullback? I really hope Smithy plays him on the wing where he still has some value.
