thats the only debatable statement ...i briefly counted 4

      1. The chairmans club being a con
      2. Football decisions post gould being moronic - Gus was responsible for plently moronic decisions whilst at Easts
      3. Our board being "mickey mouse"
      4. Eveyryone sucking up to Nick

The 1 thing that is'nt up for debate is 5 GF's in 10 years .... a chairmans and indeed a CEO's job is done at the point the team makes the GF ...its over to the team at that point

The truth is, nobody here knows how the club is run.

People go on like they're in Nick's back pocket, when the reality is, they've just got their hand through the little hole in their own.

I respect Politis and I believe without him we would have had to have merged or relocated.
But in saying this, he's been involved as Roosters boss for a very long time now and we've only won 1 premiership in this time.
I want Politis to continue his involvement in the club but he needs to let the football people run the football side of things.
People are often quoted as saying, "What Nick wants, Nick gets". I don't think this is true because surely Nick wants the occassional premiership!

                      1) what is the point of the chairmans club? Why should one join? What are the benefits? If it is indeed a ' chairmans club. ' what role does Nick play in the club. Are their alterior motives for people to join the club?

                      2) we are not talking about Gus, we are talking about Mark Murray, Chris Anderson, Brad Fittler and a 4 year tenure for Smith.

                      3) Mickey mouse implied because it is not a democratically elected board and does not represent the supporters at all.

4)they all suck up Nick most of the time. Not all the time.

He loves the saying when things get tough the tough get going .Its what he said after Bennet shafted him and believe me that hurt him heaps where he almost quit on the spot replayed the saying got into it again.
                          Its a 50/50 flip
He has never hired any one compitant to run the joint for him or at least allow to evolve.
As too the board well look at other clubs that dont have money men and have footballers jobs for the boys type rolls -they have money problems galore.
                          Is there a resolution ?

We could be like Parra. They voted for a change they thought Fitzgerald was doing a shit job, they got worse and have gone through 2 CEO's already. Most fans are stupid I don't know what structure is the best but sometimes giving people less of a say is better.

Since the late 90's I think we have been one of the best clubs in the comp. We have been in the finals and grand finals many times we can't blame Politis for losing those games.

The only thing I would say should happen is that football people should make the football decisions. Let them do the job they are employed to do then if they aren't successful get rid of them.

Candidates -The only one I can think of and he has the passion for them is James Packer and he should be groomed for it now .He will hire and appoint the smartest CEO in the business to run the joint-go Bondi Easts...lol

If Politis is our Saddam, maybe we need our version of the Arab Spring - the Easts Spring ??
