ROOSTERS SQUAD v TIGPIES
Round 26 - Saturday 26th August
5:30pm Allianz Stadium, Sydney
A ray of hope? A false dawn? A real chance? Too little too late? Three in a row and a very winnable game this week against the only team in the NRL era to collect more spoons than Uri Geller. But even the Tigpies have shown glimpses of form over the last few weeks, with a close win over the Dolphins last round.
The Tigers have an apaling head-to-head record against the Roosters, having been defeated in 20 of their past 22 meetings, which includes being outscored 112-12 in their past two games against us. In case you've forgotten, feast your eyes on the way it used to be. Just 12 short months ago we did this to them:

One for the stats fanatics - for the Tigers, David Klemmer has missed just five tackles all year while making 565, and heads into his 23rd game of the year with a 99.1% tackle efficiency rating. Wow.
But the big news is of course - Jedi Master SAM (sky)WALKER is back in the #7. The hero of the age is back!! The answer to all our problems. He may be the size of Yoda, but like the tiny green muppet, he is surprisingly wise, lithe & powerful. Is he really the messiah ... or just a naughty boy?* He adds an element of unpredictability to our attack, and his short kicking game is a big plus. Watch for Nat Butcher to score off a Walker grubber.
Manu to fullback, Allan to center as expected. Egan is back from his HIA absence, but named on the extended bench. The rest of the team is unchanged.
Ref is Todd Smith
