I just spent 15 minutes writing a retort to rooster 6 in the Carney thread, only to get to the end and for it to say this thread is closed when i tried to post it.

    Why?

I can understand moving it, but to close it?

I know the new bullshit rules about not having to explain yourselves but it wasn't even close to getting out of hand imo.

I don't find it fair that the KNA6 (Know it all 6) can sit there thinking he's got one over The Greed, when infact i had a well written and perfectly valid response.

You are going over the top imo.

I'm not lighting any fuse filthy.

I'm just saying that this is a public forum and people are bound to disagree and get a bit firey on occasion.

He called me scum and i called him a farrkwit.

Is it really that bad, is what i'm asking.

Why close the threads or deleate them, what does it achieve? Its just spoils the experience for us punters a real turn off. If there is an issue with some of the posts ban or worn the participants. In saying that if people do get a touch silly I dont think that is a major problem either...there are some people that do hijack threads on a constant basis which do deserve a spell at the jets. End of the day we are all here to have a little fun.

Not spoiling your experience has resulted in several serious legal matters for myself. To such an extent that the most recent issue almost had the entire forum shutdown.

Hence the recent rule change as I have told all admins / moderators that if anything looks to be getting out of control. Just close it. It's sad it's come to this, but we all agreed that no ones actions, thoughts or posts are worth the closure of this forum.

We have, for years, allowed people to speak their mind and it has very much been a mature spoken, adult populated forum. So much so that kids / children / junior roosters supporters are barely seen on here.

If I had a dollar for every email I received from a parent, telling me that they had banned their children from visiting.. well... I'd have more than enough to warrant the removal of all advertisements. Sadly I am not kidding.

I haven't seen the thread you're referring to Greedy, but I'm sure it was closed for reasons I have stated above.

Yes, TY Chris. Your efforts in giving us some place to express ourselves in relation to the Roosters is much appreciated. Just be careful when censoring posters who dont actually break any rules. That could also lead to legal dramas and that would be a shame for us all.

                    Legal dramas? lol.

I doubt Greedy is gonna press charges because he didn't get to tell me what a ****wit I am when I told the **** he's full of it.

Some of my best works been lost to the censors sadly.

I hate it when I'm replying to a post and try to submit it and get that invalid page. I always think I'm banned then realize it's just the threads been locked or deleted right as I'm replying.

Maybe we should all use the Adults section more often???

Or is there a way we could have possibly defamatory or just hijacked topics sent to the Adults section, Mods???

That way we can continue arguing and taking the piss there and the kids or offended ones can continue their important discussions here.

Just a suggestion. Call it the dead thread office or something and we can go anD at all the things that point to flaws in our characters without the need for the sensitive among us getting offended by a or two.

Maybe that PlumbBob character could be a mod, I hear he's a moral upstanding member of the community.

                        You know it makes sense.

I understand where you're coming from mate but as 6 said, we're hardly going to take any legal action because of a bit of name calling.

I could understand if it was the gay jokes and whatnot but it wasn't even close to that.

Yes, we have disagreements and yes we may spit out a farrkwit or two, but i'm not going to pull out the mum jokes on 6 because he's a genuine poster with a different opinion to mine is all.

He's not one of the idiot trolls trying to stir up shit so the good jokes stay in the bag.

But hey, i do understand you have to be vigilant these days and a forum is not worth losing your pants over.

I just ask for a bit of descretion.
